In this system each exhibit is judged according to how well it meets that standard rather than how well it compares to other exhibits. BLDING) Friday, July 24, - 1 pm Banana Muffins, Decorated Cakes, Cranberry Bars, & Healthy Trail Mix to be judged in this order Rules: A. You will receive passes that will admit you and one parent or guardian to the grounds on the day for judging that entry. Entries must be brought to the Spur Emporium Building. B. Contest open to Amador, El Dorado & Calaveras Counties except professional bakers & professionals in home economics. C. Indication of physical damage as might occur in transit or handling will not count against the contestant by the judge. D. Each entry must be accompanied by the recipe. CLEARLY TYPED OR WRITTEN ON AN 8½ x 11" PAPER, USING ONE SIDE ONLY. Please sign the paper and write your address plainly on it. E. Entries become the property of the Amador County Fair F. All measurements must be level (not scant or heaping) cups, tablespoons or fractions of these measurements. Specify exact measurements of pan being used and exact oven temperature. Give length of baking time. All recipes become the property of the Amador County Fair. G. Contest will be open to the public. The public will be requested to remain quiet and behind marked off section in the building. H. Limit one entry per person per class. I. Entries must not be cut, unless indicated in instructions. J. All perishables are to be kept under refrigeration prior to delivery. Limited refrigeration space is available in the Spur Emporium kitchen. K. Danish System of Judging - The Danish System of Judging is based on established standards of quality for each type of product. Limit: One entry per Organization DIVISION 361 BANNER COMPETITION Banner Competition is open to Amador County Individual Youth Organizations or Single Participant. Judging will be based on the Banner best depicting the theme: Country Tunes and Midway Blooms Banners must be 4 feet horizontal (width) and 6 feet vertical (length) finished size; see example below. To be made of fabric (i.e. burlap) and must have a means of displaying (For example a dowel or P.V.C. pipe through the top of the Banner). Banners will be displayed by hanging from the ceiling by the 4 ft. side. Any means of decorating will be acceptable. THE NAME OF THE YOUTH ORGANIZATION OR PERSON ENTERED MUST NOT BE DISPLAYED ON THE BANNER OR IT WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. 1. 4-H Clubs 2. Grange Clubs 3.
