Crayola ColorCycle Grissom Patriots are collecting used markers and highlighters (any brand) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Green collection boxes will be in each classroom and on the bench outside the Commons. The program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year. Remember, don t throw out that used marker ColorCycle it!
Jazz Band Jazz Band rehearses at Prairie View each Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:15 pm.

Taffy Apple Pickup Taffy Apples will be available in the Commons for pickup today from 4-6 pm for those who placed orders in September. Due to allergy concerns, the PTO is not allowed to send apples home with students.
Intramurals Intramural sports are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:30. Volleyball intramurals are held on Tuesday, and Basketball intramurals are held on Thursday.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. There is a collection box on the bench outside the Commons for your donations.
Hot Lunch Tomorrow is Hot Lunch. Please remember to thank the parents serving you. Without them, there would be no Hot Lunch program.
Student Support Student Support is held in the Media Center before school every day from 8:00 8:35 and after school Monday through Thursday from 3:10-4:05. Please be sure to bring your work with you! You will need to sign in and stay the entire time. If you are a bus rider, please remember to sign up for the activity bus that day!
Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved 10,263 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. So far this year, we have saved 2,953 bottles! Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles!
