Scoring Teams compete within their division. Points are awarded in descending order of standing. For example, if there are 5 small businesses competing against each other in the Mini Meet, the team that scores the highest will earn 5 points and the team that scores the lowest will earn 1 point. In the event of a tie, points of the tied places will be combined and divided equally among those teams. Zero points will be awarded to a team that forfeits a particular activity. the points earned are added to a team point count and the team with the most points at the end of the challenge wins. Awards and Celebration Bragging rights and a traveling plaque will be awarded to the winning team within each division once results are compiled after the end of the final events. Challenge celebration will take place during and after volleyball on September 1 st at the Black Horse Bar & Grill. team members are invited to attend to cheer on the last activities. Mini Meet This fun modified track and field event consists of four activities. Scores will be determined by taking an average of all four events. Beach Ball Shotput Relay ~ 12pm Team of 2 or 4. First person launches beach ball across the field. Second person runs to where the ball landed and repeats. This will be done two more times. Scores determined by the total distance the ball is thrown. Three Legged Relay ~ 12:30pm Team of 4. 2 people will be tied together at the ankle with a bandana. They will run the length of the field and return, removing the bandana and tying the next two people together to repeat. Scores determined by how long it takes each team to run two lengths of the field. Wrapping Paper Javelin ~ 1pm Team of 1 to 4. Each team will have four attempts to launch a wrapping paper javelin as far down the field as possible. Scores determined by the total distance the javelin is thrown. 4 x 400 Meter Track Relay ~ 1:30pm Team of 2 to 4 people. Each team will be assigned a lane and given a baton. Each person will run one lap around the track (400 meters). If you have a two person team, you can choose if you run two laps in a row (800 meters) or alternate laps. Scores determined by how long it takes each team to run 1600 meters. Golf Scramble Team of 4. Each person will play 9 holes. Scores of all 4 team members will be combined to determine points awarded. Shotgun start teams will tee off simultaneously from different holes (a few holes will start with two teams). ** Individual team members will be responsible for paying their own green fee which is $25.00 plus tax per person (includes golf cart).
