1 Recreational Activity Guide
2 Basketball Located in the Ark or on the Hillside, north of the Pool. Dodgeball Check out and return supplies in the Main Office or the Cedar Rec Chest. Dodgeball can be played on any open unused field. Flag Football Flag football can be played on any unused field. Check out and return the flags/football in the Main Office or Cedar Rec Chest. Human Foosball Located across from Cedar Lodge. Plays just like the foosball table game, only with people.
3 Kickball Ball is located at the diamond which is located on the ball field. Soccer Located in the field space in front of the by Zip Line tower. Soccer balls are on the field. Soccer Billiards Pick-up at the office. Can be setup anywhere. It s a combination of soccer (with beach balls) and billiards. Instructions are included with the game! Softball Located on the main ball field inside the blue bucket attached to back stop.
4 Ultimate Frisbee Located in a rec tote at the field in front of the Zip Line tower. Vest Tag Lots of fun variation of tag...by using Velcro vests and tennis balls. Pick up bag at the office or cedar rec chest. Volleyball The Volleyball court is located in the main ball field. Wiffle Ball Includes bats, balls, and throw down bases; set up anywhere. Pick up equipment at the Main Office.
5 Archery Test your skills with compound bows. Located between Human Foosball and Cedar Chapel. Pedal Carts These carts will test you mentally and physically as you race around the Allendale Speedway. Located between the Climbing Shelter and the Ark. Carpet Ball Many tables to choose from. Find one that is open and enjoy this classic camp game. Climbing Shelter For all ages; located by the Climbing Tower. The challenge is to make it all the way around without touching the ground.
6 Children s Initiative Course (2nd-6th Grades) Faculty lead; pick up instructions and material in camp office. Course is located in the woods behind the office. Scooters (4th grade and lower) Scooters are located next to the Rec Shed. Please use the Hillside basketball court for cruising. Disc Golf The first tee is located in front of Lakeview Lodge. Disc golf bags may be checked out of the Main Office or the Cedar Rec Chest. Feel free to start at any hole. Fishing You will be assigned either Lake Marie or Cedar Lake. Please return the poles to their original locations when finished. Corn will be provided for bait, do not consume.
7 Four Square and Tetherball There are locations at the Fort, the Hillside Chapel, Cedar canteen, and by the pool. Pick one and play! Ladder Ball (Rodeo Golf) A twist between golf and horse shoes. Located behind the Camp Store and at the Cedar Rec Chest. Mini Golf Located by the Human Foosball. Play a round on our greens! Golf balls and Putters are located at course. Please return these items when finished. Nature Hike A great fun time...and some learning too. Pick up map and guide at the Nature Center near the camp store.
8 Nine Square in the Air Similar to four square. Located by the camp store and next to the Cedar Shelter. Instruction are on the Nine Square court. Geocache Course Parachute Games Three different courses available. Use a GPS device to locate caches on the property. Pick up in the Main Office or the Cedar Rec Chest. Return all units in box to pickup location when the rec hour is complete. (2nd-4th grades) Game bag and instructions are available to pick up in the Main Office. Playground Located by the Camp Store and the Ark.
9 Pontoon Boat Ride (2nd-6th grades) Take a leisurely tour of Cedar Lake on a pontoon boat! Departs from the Blob deck. Rope Games Your team will receive a bag with a tug-of-war rope, 12 jump ropes, a family-size jump rope, and island platforms for individual competition. Check out from the Main Office. GaGa Ball This activity is a fast-paced, exciting version of dodge ball that originated in Israel. Located by the Main Office and Cedar canteen. Table Games Air hockey, foosball, and ping pong in the Ark.
10 Pool Swim with Water Slides Take a refreshing dip in our pool, jump off the diving board, or slide down one of our two slides. Lake Swim and Blob You can swim in the swimming area, slide down the Hippo slide, or jump off the diving board. The Blob is for 5th grade and higher only. Kayaks (3rd-12th grades) You will be assigned Dock A on Lake Marie or Dock B on Cedar Lake. Canoes (5th-12th grades) Dock D on Cedar Lake.
11 Climbing Tower (7th-12th grades) The Climbing Tower is a challenge course activity. It requires tennis shoes. Eight-person Zip Line (7th-12th grades) The Eight-person Zip Line is a challenge course activity. It requires tennis shoes. Low Ropes Course (7th-12th grades) The Low Ropes Course is a challenge course activity. It requires 2 hours the first time. It also requires tennis shoes. Giant Swing (7th-12th grades) The Giant Swing is a challenge course activity. It requires tennis shoes.
