Great Results for British Dressage Other competition highlights in 2014 / 15 Historic gold medal for the British Pony Team at the FEI European Championships in Malmo, Sweden in August. Double gold for Phoebe Peters and SL Lucci sign off their successful career together. Dressage joins the party at Bolsworth Castle CSI in June. Charlotte & Valegro retain FEI World Cup title in Las Vegas. First ever Team Quest Championship at Bury Farm was a resounding success. Popularity of BD Regional Finals, National Championships & Winter Championships continues to grow.

Team Quest Update Another great year for this grass roots initiative Total of 2,310 participants in Team Quest: 1,414 Team Quest Club members 306 BYRDS Club members 405 teams competing in total in 2015 89 venues, holding 342 days of competition New regional structure, with eight regional finals and the top teams going to the National final in November Exciting plans to expand further in 2016 watch this space!

BD Goals and Objectives Strategic priorities: 2015 2020 Achieve more medal success internationally Modernise and promote the sport of dressage Create a more professional organisation culture Deliver an effective and efficient service for members Offer greater choice to compete & participate in BD activity Encourage participation in dressage at grass roots level Convert more unaffiliated riders and associate members Increase revenues by maximising commercial value of BD Establish channels to exert influence on international stage
Commercial Projects Commercial priorities: 2015 / 2016 Launch new website, Gift Aid and BD e-club membership Devise strategy for recruitment and retention of members Develop an affiliate scheme to offer extra member benefits Conduct a full review of our existing sponsorship portfolio Establish a tertiary tier of non-equine category partners Manage contract negotiations / tender process with suppliers Negotiate merchandising joint venture and IP licensing deals Set up a fundraising committee to drive charitable income Access additional development funding for BD activity
New Competition Structure Members working party devised proposals in November 2013 Concepts approved in principle by the Board in March 2014 Initial members consultation period from April to June 2014 Detailed review of feedback provided during Summer 2014 Working party reconvened in September 2014 to revise plans Further stakeholder consultation throughout Autumn 2014 Members roadshow from January to April across the country Following second consultation phase, plans approved in June 2015 Detailed rule definition and IT development during Summer 2015 Communication and implementation from August / September 2015 Launch of new structure remains on target for 1 December 2015
