To celebrate agriculture, FFA members have created a few ac vi es to take part in! There is corn kernel guessing in the HS Office (winner at the end of the week will receive a prize!) and there will be a few ac vi es during lunch! Also, as a part of SnowDaze, wear blue and gold on Wednesday! Congratula ons to the boys hockey players on their playoff win last Saturday! Thank you to all the students who came out to support. The Gymnas cs team will compete in the state tournament on Friday and Saturday. If you are interested in a ending the meet on Friday you can pick up a purple permission slip in Audrey s office today and return the form by noon on Thursday. Tickets to the gymnas cs meet will be on sale in Audrey s office. Bus cket is $12.00 and meet cket is $8.00. We also have adult ckets for $12.00 for sale. If you plan to drive or go with your parents you must purchase your meet cket here. All students going to the meet must turn in a permission slip and purchase your meet cket here. Students: If you are going to the gymnas cs meet and plan to par cipate in an event in the evening you need to ride the bus to the meet. If you drive or ride with your parents you are marked absent and this would be the same as missing school and you are unable to par cipate in any ac vity in the evening. Congrats to the Melrose Speech team for their 1st place finish at Morris Tournament out of 17 teams! Thursday --> City vs. Country (Dress in your slacks or cowboy boots/hats)...talent Show - 6th and 7th hour (High School Only) Friday --> Purple vs. Gold Day (Spirit Day)...Royalty will walk at the halftime of the girls basketball game We will be selling pompoms on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning to show our school spirit. Gymnas cs is going to State on Friday and these Pompoms would be a great accessory. They will be 1 fro $2 or 2 for $3. They will be sold in front of the library. We need lifeguards for our 7th grade swimming unit. If you can lifeguard 2nd, 3rd, 5th or 6th hour please let Ms Fossum, Mr. Noll or Ms Oberg know. We are planning to start our swimming unit Tuesday, March 7, 2017. St. Mary's Kids Time is looking to hire someone 16yrs. old or older who enjoys working with children! Would like someone who would be available to start this summer and then work through the school year next fall also! Hours and days would be flexible during the summer and then star ng in the fall it would be Monday-Friday 3pm-5pm. Calling all seniors to be one of 2017 s Powerade Athletes Of The Year. 10 students will receive a $1000 award. All senior students are welcome to submit an applica on based on extracurricular and community involvement. Submissions are open un l February 28. Stearns Electric Associa on is now accep ng applica ons for the 2017 Rural Electric Youth Tour! High School Juniors are encouraged to apply for this FREE Trip to Washington D.C. by February 24! Each year, rural electric coopera ves across the na on sponsor roughly 1,500 students on the Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. The Youth Tour program con nues to foster the grassroots spirit of the rural electric coopera ves by demonstra ng to high school juniors and seniors how our government works and what the electric coopera ve business model is all about. The contest is open to any current high school junior; whose family is a member of the Coopera ve. You should not be loitering in the halls. Students: Please do not use the restrooms in the phy-ed lockerrooms during the school day they are for phy-ed classes and co-curricular use.
