Newsletter February 2018 Thank you! to all the members who renewed their membership and welcome new members. NEWS: Annual Banquet and Awards Night Fundraiser This event is a fun evening featuring a wild game buffet dinner, appetizers, awards, silent and live auctions, door prizes, and draws. Invite your friends and enjoy a very unique evening! Date: March 10, 2018 Time: Happy Hour starts at 5:00pm Buffet Dinner at 6:30pm Tickets: Adult $30.00 Early Bird $25.00 Youth $15.00 (12 and under) Tickets are available at Nelson Farmers Supply. Richard Green is looking for volunteers to help with the Annual Banquet. It is a major fundraiser and the club needs it to be successful. The following are areas requiring volunteers: Ticket Sales - From now until the event Kitchen - Thursday/ Friday/ and Saturday March 8/9/10 Bar - Bartender Serving - serving aperitifs early on Saturday evening Set Up and Clean Up Thursday afternoon, Friday, Saturday evening after dinner, and Sunday morning Sales - tickets for entry, bar, horn pull, 50/50, rifle raffle Runners - for door prizes, bucket draw, and live auction Live Auctioneer Master of Ceremonies To sign up to help, or obtain tickets to sell, contact: Richard Green at 250-352-5609 or scaler1@shaw.ca Please feel free to photocopy the following poster.

Members enjoying the Annual Banquet last year. Food Safe Course: If anyone is interested in occasionally helping in the kitchen and wishes to take the Food Safe course, the club will reimburse the cost of the course. Archery: February is the month of the most famous archer of all, Cupid. Plans are underway for the 3D shoot in June. Please feel free to copy the following poster and distribute.

Sheep Feeding: A downed tree didn t stop the volunteers from feeding the sheep. Thanks Howie for clearing the path! Unfortunately, the remains of one of the ewes was found up in the bush. A biologist from Cranbrook was organized to visit the sheep feeding area. Photo submitted by Heather Beaudoin Northern Cardinal: A female Northern Cardinal was sighted in BC for the first time in Cranbrook. It is a native to Southern and Eastern US. It has been seen in Alberta and Saskatchewan. It has a distinctive orange/red bright beak and red crest on its head. Photos submitted by Blaire Louise.

Front and rear sling studs have been added to the wood furniture. Comes with leather sling decorated with an oak-leaf pattern and a matching 6-shell nubuck butt cuff. Will include 25 rounds of target ammo and nylon shell belt for free you re welcome to use some of this ammo to try it out!
