We perform for Kerr Middle School. Parade Route: The parade route starts on Elk Grove Florin RD traveling towards Skips music, we make a left on Elk Grove BLVD, immediate left on Melrose Ave, left on Southside Ave, and right on Elk Grove Florin ending at EGHS. Schedule: 6th Period Rehearse 7 th Get dress in full parade uniform 8 th Uniform inspection Music run through 12:30pm Staging 1:00pm Parade starts 2:00pm Parade ENDS Clean-up BREAK Friday Homecoming Game Plan Our students will be finished after half time to get extra rest for the Franklin competition. Parent pick up time will be approximately 9:30pm after clean-up. I will send reminds if we are finished earlier. Saturday October 13, 2018 Parade & Jazz Band Competition at Franklin High School Field Show Competition at Consumes Oaks High School This competition will be parent transportation to FHS & to COHS to help save with transportation cost. Students cannot drive other students. Jazz Band Concert Black Attire Long black dress shirt black dress pants black socks black dress length to the knee black jackets and/or black or grey vest are optional Jazz I will get a loaner gold bow tie Jazz II will get a loaner blue bow tie Students not in B & GR Leadership will take their instruments home on Friday so they can meet us at Franklin HS. Please see the FHS parking map where our trailers are located for student drop off. All of the Blue and Gold Regiment uniforms will be at FHS. The EGHS music rooms will be open Saturday morning from 5am 6:15am while our leadership team are loading our trailers incase non-leadership forgot competition items. Parade & Jazz competition audience admission are FREE. Field Show competition audience admission approximately $10 bring cash Larger instruments will go in the trailers: Sousaphones, tubas, euphoniums, & percussion. Eat a good breakfast at home. What to bring? Water container to refill. Snacks Money to for food if you did not purchase a food card. Concession stands are available. Competition items: long black socks, plain black shirt, sport shorts, & other competition essentials. Color guard Follow staff and captain instructions with what to bring. Student may not leave the duration of the field trip schedule without a parent sign out with the teacher. Missing a competition without a excused absence will drop grade points. Blue & Gold Regiment Daily Task - Fall 2018 Check-list President & Lead Drum Major Make sure all TASKS are complete! Assistant Drum Majors Help the President and Lead DM with any needs. Set-ups for rehearsal. Discipline. Parade Drum Major Assist with parade procedures. I Pattern is complete. G3 Managers Winds & Brass Captains Make sure the floor is clean, locker station floor is clear, chairs are organized, and stands are organized. G4 Managers Josh & John All wall chairs are organized and there is a walkway to the back door. Water jugs are in place and lids are open to dry. Stands and chairs are put back in G3. Make sure that Battery and Color Guard Captains are completing their task. Golf Cart is parked and the battery is charged for the next event. Make sure the large black cart is placed by the wall close to the music office. Make sure that the Props manager s task are done. G4 Supervisors Battery & Color Guard Captains Props Manager Lost and found items G4 locker stations are clean. Drum stands, color guard cart, sound cart are in place. Battery equipment are organized. Big Bertha station is neat and organized PROPS Manager Back flags are together & organized in G3 corner by the tuba lockers. Sound Manager Ayush Make sure your sound cart is neat & organized. Count the tuners and make sure to collect them from leaders if they use them. Make sure tuners are off to save batteries. Blue tooth speakers are in place. Drum Major Team Please make sure that the drum major cart is neat. Met boxes are being charged. Pay attention to the practice field lines. Re-paint and touch up as needed (ask Mr. Sebastian before repainting and get his approval). Turn in blue tooth speakers to Ayush. VP & Secretary Flip folder station is neat & organized. Lost and found items Office tables are clean and neat. Music library are organized. Copies are up to date. Leadership boxes are neat and organized. VP will assist the Sound Manager when needed.
Front Ensemble Captains & Assistant Make sure your sound cart is organized. Make sure your percussion section is organized. Section Leaders You are IN CHARGE of your section to make sure we are accomplishing goals together. Music is memorized according to our goals. Woodwind leaders make sure you check reeds. Make sure to check the cleanliness and care of your section s instrument care. Every damage affects our sound! You are communicating reminders. Gather thank you cards and donations to thank staff, parents, and other members. Make sure your section knows about upcoming events. Make sure your section is prepared for a performance. Keep track of dot books and organization. You are the Drum Major of your section. Please use the order of command to help the leadership organization communication.
