Anderson The American White Pelican has soared in flocks of up to fifty birds high over Bass Lake and El Dorado Hills in slow graceful aerial dances. One of the largest North American birds, the American White Pelican is majestic in the air. The birds soar with incredible steadiness on broad, white-and-black wings. The black tips of the wings are observable only in flight.
