ST. PETER TRI-PARISH SCHOOL A Collaborative of St. Benedict, St. Peter & St. Timothy Parishes 120 Mayfair Road Warwick, RI 02888 (401) 781-9242 stpeterschoolri.com March 31, 2016 Dear Parents, There is no fooling there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 1 st! The entire faculty will be at the Crowne Plaza for a Diocesan Professional Day. I hope that you all enjoyed a blessed and relaxing Easter. Remember to continue your Lenten promises throughout the coming year. It gets easier each new day. FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT APRIL 13, 2016 6:00 to 7:30 PM This extraordinary night is designed to entertain our students in Preschool through Grade Three. Children will be divided into three groups and three local authors will read their story to the children and get them started on writing and illustrating their own books. To insure that we have a successful evening, please fill out the form that was sent home earlier this week and return to school. Feel free to bring along a friend, neighbor or relative who might also be interested in an evening like this. At 7:00 PM you will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the author s books. Please enter through the main lobby doors. Hopefully, this will be a very successful event where children will leave with a love for literacy! LITTLE MERMAID, JR.--This enjoyable musical will entertain all our students, their parents, family and friends. Please support the students, teachers and parent volunteers who have worked so hard this year getting this production ready for their audience. Bishop Hendricken High School is allowing us to use their beautiful theater for our two

performances. You have a choice of two times to attend: Friday, April 15, 2016 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM. An order form is included in this week s Friday Folder and e-folder. SCIENCE OLYMPIAD: We are very grateful to Mr. Jonathan Alvarez (dad to Maggie in K) for getting our Middle School students even more excited about science. The St. Peter Science Olympiad Team, dubbed the Saint Peter Super Scientists has been formed! The team is currently studying for their 5 events at RI College on April 9 th. Their coach, Mr. Alvarez, has ordered custom t-shirts for the team to wear to the Olympiad. He is absolutely ecstatic to have a competitive team going to this year s Olympiad! The team: Alex Ferolito Team Captain Bottle Rocket Gavin Drew Detective Crime Busters (Crime Scene Forensics) Athena Howlett Team Captain Reach for the Stars (Astronomy), Assistant Disease Detectives (Epidemiology) Ben Fontaine Master Builder Bridge Building Calei Harris Team Captain Disease Detectives (Epidemiology), Assistant Reach for the Stars (Astronomy) Daniel Franchetti Master Builder Bridge Building Spencer Fidgeon Detective Crime Busters (Crime Scene Forensics) HONOR ROLL: The 2016 Second Trimester Honor Roll is as follows: Grade Six First Honors Siena Algeo Daniel Franchetti Aidan Moreira Emily Patenaude Max Turner Second Honors John Ayers Aidan Comer Gavin Drew Benjamin Fontaine Calei Harris Andrew Kaczmarzyk Joseph Raulino Olivia Tracy Grade Seven First Honors Andrew Cavanagh Samantha Galasso Cailee Lavoie Phoebe White Second Honors Christopher Lemieux Rebecca Lewis Phoebe Phalen Gianna Rose Emily Trainor Third Honors Kyla D Eletto

MORNING DROP-OFF AND AFTERNOON PICK-UP: Once again, I must remind our families that students are to be dropped off and picked up in the church parking lot only not on Mayfair Street. For safety reasons and courtesy to our neighbors we must enforce this policy. If necessary, we will ask the Warwick Police to patrol Mayfair Road during dropoff and pick-up times and take whatever steps are necessary to insure the safety of our students.
