6. Regional League Far North Coast Disappointing that only 4 teams have registered for Regional League. Lengthy discussion around the differing strengths of the different teams, as some are made up of mainly u17 players. Lismore unable to put forward a team due to the resurfacing of courts and issues around that. Brunswick/Byron were unable to get enough interest to put forward a team. The dates of Regional League (10/4 and 29/5) are also a factor for lack of teams as the first day is same as Academy Games. Discussion around format of Regional League competition with the 4 teams. Agreed that play each other in full games on Day 1, play each other again in shortened games on Day 2, then straight GF 1v2, and play off for 3 rd as last game (full games). Agreed by all Association that the process of making dates needs to be better, so we can grow Regional League in the region. Regional Allocation Team was announced. Brunswick/Byron asked if Foundation level coaches are allowed to attend day 2 of Coaching workshop aimed at Development Coaches, as they have Saturday netball and will unable to attend Day1. Lower Clarence asked if there were maximum numbers as all these associations were eligible to go free. RC discussed possibility of NCAS hosting a NetEd in Grafton to service Lower Clarence / Grafton area. Unsure if this will go ahead. RC reminded all Associations to contact RC in first instance for those kind of inquiries and RC will assist in best way possible. Item from Leslie Kirk to discuss priorities when setting dates in Regional Coordinator. Leslie suggests the following order 1. Netball Australia Dates 2.
