Cheerleading Tryouts Information Sheet High School: Clinics will be held on- Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 12:30-3:00pm at the Early Learning Center Monday, March 11, 2019 from 4:00-6:00pm at the ELC Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the ELC Tryouts will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2019 at 3:30pm at AHS All girls interested in trying out will be asked to wear black leggings, or black athletic shorts and a plain white shirt. Hair should be pulled back and they should look game day ready. Clean tennis shoes are required as well. You need to bring with you a completed EMF form, the tryout sheet, and your Coach/Teacher Evaluations need to be completed (2) All interested will be asked to show the following to the judges: Jumps (Hurdler, Toe Touch, Pike) Tumbling (if they have it) Chant (taught at clinics) Cheers (taught at clinics) Individual Make up Cheer- words will be passed out at the first clinic Dance (taught at clinics) Middle School: Clinics will be held on- Sunday, March 17, 2018 from 12:30-3:00pm at the Early Learning Center Monday, March 18, 2018 from 7:00-9:00pm at the ELC Tuesday, March 19, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the ELC Tryouts will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 4:15pm at AHS All girls interested in trying out will be asked to wear black leggings, or black athletic shorts and a plain white shirt. More information will follow. The total cost of the camp is $382 per cheerleader. Please refer to the payment schedule below: April 1st- First camp payment due ($127.34) April 15 th - second camp payment due ($127.33) May 6 th - Final Camp Payment due (127.33)- Last day to accept a sponsor being used towards a camp payment!! Middle School The Avon Middle School Cheerleaders will be attending a skills camp at a local cheerleading gym. Please be looking for more information to follow. Approximate cost of camp is $75.
Tentative Practice Schedules : ***Please keep in mind these are tentative schedules and are subject to change *** Comp Team - Practices will be held on Monday 3:30-5:00pm at Top Gun in Avon. In October we normally add an extra practice on Tuesday, right after school, at AHS/ELC track. Varsity - Until school begins, practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Once school begins football practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Basketball practices will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. JV- Until school begins, practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Once school begins football practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Basketball practices will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Freshman- Until school begins, practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday mornings Once school begins football practices will be held on Wednesday evenings. * *PLEASE NOTE: there will be another practice throughout the week, but there will not be a set day until after tryouts. It will either be Monday (not interfering with comp) or Tuesday** Basketball practices will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings Middle School- Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during football & basketball season
