Link https://community.cricket.com.au/coach/ Sam Harris attended the meeting and advised the following: Changes from in2cricket/t20 Blast to the new Cricket Blast program BNJCA is introducing a revised format this year for U10/U11. See New Formats below. Ground availability and the installation of pitches in schools Burpengary State College pitch installed St Paul s College Bald Hills talks about installing one pitch Holy Spirit Catholic School Bray Park talks about installing one pitch All Saints school Albany Creek talks about installing one pitch Aspley SHS talks about digging up old pitch and installing one pitch McDowell State School talks about installing one pitch Hillbrook School Everton Park talks about installing one pitch The rollout of Junior Formats Stage 1 for under 10s/11s CA can supply stumps, scorebooks and measuring tapes free of charge to BNJCA. The stumps are either plastic or wooden spring back. We would need 175 stumps sets including bails for the teams we have, with a few spares. QC is happy to run coach education sessions (1 hour) and it would be best for them to be run at each of the larger clubs. Contact Sam Harris (0402 177 429) to arrange sessions. 2. New formats U10 & U11 will be the only changes made this year. Players in a team will reduce from 12 to a maximum of 9 with 7 players being the normal player number per team. This means an increase in teams, using last year s 102 teams as the basis for calculations, of between 135 to 175 teams depending on whether there are 7 or 9 players in the new teams.

This obviously means far more ovals are required and so other changes had to be made. All games will be 20 overs per innings with 120 balls being the maximum bowled and 6 balls per over maximum. We will now start U10 games at 7:15am and finish at 9:30am. The U11 will start at 9:45am and finish at 12 noon. Fields will be 30 m, measured from the batter s end stumps. Summary of new rules will be attached to the minutes. There are no changes to U12 this coming season and we will look at changes for the following season on the basis that U11 will move up to U12 and will have been part of the first changes this coming year. 3. MyCricket New changes coming through in MyCricket. It will be made compulsory to register all players in MyCricket when signing up for a club in 2019-20. New venue system in place. This new system will ensure there are no venue clashes in draws. Andrew Keyte will come to the September Delegates meeting and advise the clubs of updates to MyCricket and answer questions on scoring. Question was asked about scoring for U11 in MyCricket. Secretary said that he doubted it can be done as the new formats have unlimited dismissals. Secretary said he will need to check about scoring in MyCricket with Andrew Keyte. Action Item: Secretary will need to check about scoring in MyCricket with Andrew Keyte 4. Draw Committee We will be attempting to give clubs more time to finalise teams before the draw is done for next season but you need to understand that it still takes a week to do the first draft of the draw. It will also be especially complicated as we are now having 2 games each morning for u10 & u11. Burpengary CC received a $5,000 grant to install new pitch at Burpengary Secondary College. Applications for 17 ovals for BCC have all been done. Extra ovals applied for were: 1. Canterbury Park 1 & 2 2. Bracken Ridge McPherson Park (small oval) 3. Norm Buchan oval (Bardon) 4. Taringa Playground & 5. Gregory Park (Paddington) Insurance Certificate obtained from CA for 2018-19 Contact is being made with schools by Richard Clay for approval for BNJCA oval use. Richard Clay will issue Club grounds questionnaires this coming week. 5. Calendar of events The new one is now on the website, incorporating the latest QC changes for rep carnivals. 6. Representative Cricket U13/14/15 Boys Practice games have not been scheduled as yet. This may be difficult to arrange for u13 & u14 now given that teams won t be finalised until 5 th November & there are pre-tournament fixtures to be played on 25 th November. We would only have 11 th & 18 th November available

U13/15 Girls City Fever Mega Region trials are scheduled for 4 th Nov for u15 girls & 11 th Nov for u13 girls. Last meeting held with QC was based around securing a ground on Northside possibly PRCC for u15 girls trials & BEARS would host the u13 girls trials. ALF/Reevesie Richard Clay has confirmed all dates and venues are locked in. Current QJC situation and Rep Cricket in general QJC had a meeting on 28 July for U12 decision on formats that will be played. He said that: o 18m wickets will be used o 142gm ball o 40 overs the last day Ian said that he was elected as QJC Secretary 7. Girls Cricket Ian congratulated Robert on CA award. Organizing for Girls camps in August/September for $50 on various dates over 3 consecutive weeks, on a Sunday and 2 hrs each of the 3 days. Photo shoot done Sunday for Camps publicity. New ads now on Facebook A new girl s competition, similar to ALF, on Sundays in summer during the Pre Xmas season from October to November. It will be by nomination and invitation and teams will not be club based. Multi-aged teams using girls aged from 11-15. Robert hopes to get 4 teams. Organising for girls Winter Warehouse 6 team competition is all going very well, except for having to eject people who do not have approval for use, from the Kalinga ovals every Sunday. 8. Setting player levy for 2018-19 Clubs were all advised back in March that the Treasurer s recommendation was approved that the fees stay at the current amounts for this coming season 2018-19: $25/player per season for a Saturday player, $17.50/player per season for a Host Super Six player, $25/player per season for a Non Host Super Six player and $1 affiliation fee per club Player ages and Playing dates for 18-19 are summarised at the end of the minutes. 9. Round the table RCJCC: Darren & Barry are both standing down at Redcliffe after over a decade of service. Committee: Richard Clay said the mowing at Kalinga Park is being done by BNJCA now as the BCC was not doing it to the standard we require.
