Hi everyone, The holidays are over and if you are anything like me you are trying to keep your New Years Resolutions. My favorite resolution is working off the 5 pounds I gained eating from everything that was placed in front of me over the holidays! My other resolution is to drive the Corvette more this year, and it looks like we are going to have lots of opportunities this year. Bill Stoner our Events Coordinator is busy working on many fun events for us, but as usual we need volunteers to lead or host these events, so please give Bill a call or sign up at our monthly meetings. Speaking of events, February 12th & 13th is the Corvette & High Performance Meet at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. This year Dave and Deedee Ellingson s new Grand Sport will be on display and featured on the event T-shirts. You may have noticed some differences in the newsletter this month. Deedee Ellingson has officially "retired" as our Newsletter Editor. THANK YOU, Deedee, for all your hard work these past four years keeping us up-to-date with GOCC Club Events and the great interesting stories and photos! And now a THANK YOU to Harry Calhoun for stepping up to the plate and taking over as the new Newsletter Editor. He has some great plans for our Newsletter and we are looking forward to seeing them. That s it for this month, see you at the Fire House and remember the Feb meeting will be the last opportunity to nominate people for offices in the upcoming elections.

PRESIDENTS REPORT: Bill Shipley Once again, we need volunteers for the new Board Members, without an Executive Board Panel we will have no club. So we appreciate anyone that will step forward and volunteer their time. Nominees for the upcoming election of New Board Members Chuck Cooley for President Doug Carpenter and Terry Ellingson for Vice President Sally Kane for Treasurer Shelly Gueldenhaar & Charmaine Courson for Secretary Larry Ficca has volunteered to take over Parade Coordinator from Chuck Cooley. Chuck, thank you so much for taking care of all of the parades the past few years. It is greatly appreciated. (Continued from page 2) Please see our Website for other upcoming events for the year. SNACKS: Thanks to all who brought goodies for the table tonight, sign up sheets for upcoming months are on the back table. OLD BUSINESS: In regards to the Toys for Tots drive, this year it was a great idea however the execution of it was rather poor. Next year we will get it all together a little sooner so that we can drop the toys off at Grey Chevrolet in time for the U.S. Marines to pick them up. This year we were a bit late, but still had tons of toys that were put in the toy box at the bowling alley in Silverdale and then those of us that did show up went and had lunch at Hales Ale in the Mall. NEW BUSINESS: Jeff & Monica Morton are now proud new parents of a new baby boy Tyler Curtis born on New Years Eve. Congratulations to you both. FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER: Many thanks to DeeDee Ellingson for her years as Newsletter Editor, she has done a wonderful job and it has been greatly appreciated. Also, thanks to Harry Calhoun for stepping forward and volunteering to be our new Newsletter Editor. PILL DRAWING: The pill drawing was worth $350.50, unfortunately Wayne & Carol Nelson, whose names were drawn, were not in attendance, this money will roll over to February. The meeting was adjourned 8:10. Respectfully submitted by Margie Shurts GOCC Secretary If you have any thing you would like to see in the Newsletter, I would be happy to include it for you.
