President s Message What a great month July was! The 4 th of July Pool party topped Memorial Day, what fun, with clowns, contests and lots of food and music! Once again Todd Krauser won the Big Splash, but not without a splash off! Congratulations Todd. On the negative side we have had some vandalism of club property. We will be working with the Maumelle Police and security companies to patrol the grounds and adjacent roads. When we catch someone damaging property we will take appropriate action. If you see anything suspicious please call the Maumelle Police. As I indicated in my letter our current financial condition is not as good was we would like, with potential cash issues this fall. The main reason for this is the shortage of members, our budget was planned so that we would start the year at 300 members and gain from there, unfortunately we have not hit 300 yet. That is why our membership drive is so important and we need each member to aggressively recruit. So please talk to your neighbors and acquaintances to get them to join! I would like to thank the staff for doing their best to provide a quality product and keep costs down. During the hot summer month s play has begun to slow down on the course, but we still need you to bring your guests out and see our beautiful course. Terry and his staff have done a great job and the course is awesome and ready for play! The greens are the best that I have seen in July, in the 12 years that I have been a member. So come on out and enjoy the course and summer weather. Your President, Royce LoBianco
Manager s Message Vandalism continues to plague MCC during the summer months. Please do your part to help us watch over our golf course and clubhouse. Should you notice any unusual behavior, please contact the Maumelle Police Department. All individuals who are caught trespassing and/or damaging the golf course or facilities will be arrested and prosecuted, no questions asked. Thank you for your help. We have continued to attract new members and have received many calls about our facility, but not at the rate that we need. We are at a point that cash flow has become a concern and we are doing everything to improve the bottom line. I have recently met with all department heads and we have 1088 revised the budget by cutting costs to help improve the cash flow and at the same time continue to provide adequate service to the membership. We have postponed the open house by a few weeks to efficiently implement all details in order to have a successful event. We still need your help selling the Club to your friends and coworkers and keep bringing those guests to the Club Terry and his staff are doing a great job and you should be proud to showcase our golf course. The food and beverage operation has been very active over the past few months. Much of this has to do with banquets with very little emphasis from member dining. We have recently changed the lunch & dinner menus and continue to look for ways to enhance your dining experience by providing a better product. Please do your part by frequenting the Mixed Grill for lunch & dinner and let us know when we meet your expectations. We will be updating the wine list very soon. If there is a wine that you would like for us to keep or one that you would like to see added, just let us know. Thanks for your support. Mark your calendars as we have several fun activities planned in the clubhouse and on the golf course. Join us for the annual Hawaiian Luau on Friday, August 27 th. Festivities will begin at 8:00 p.m. following the year-end Shoot Out. This party is for adults only and promises to be fun for everyone. There will be live entertainment, great food, contests and a prize for the best-dressed couple. Call Kellie for reservations. Thanks again for all your support and I look forward to seeing you and your prospective members at the Club! Cimarron Grubb General Manager/Golf Professional

Just a reminder: Now that the fans have been placed around the greens to help with airflow, many players have found themselves stymied behind one. Fans are 2279 a temporary immovable obstruction. If the fan interferes with your stance, area of intended swing or your ball lies on, under or behind the fan you may without penalty, find the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole and drop the ball within one club length of that point. Effective July 20 th, as stated in the MCC golf rules & regulations, the following rules will be strictly enforced on weekends and holidays and the golf staff appreciates your cooperation: All players are required to have their name on the tee sheet if they intend to play. The starter will not squeeze in additional players to accommodate a group. This results in late tee times and slow play. Please call the Pro Shop or notify an individual in your group if you intend to play. Any group stopping for more than 10 minutes between nines will lose the right to play the back 9. Play will be limited to threesomes, foursomes and fivesomes until 1:00 p.m. At that time, twosomes and singles will be permitted to play but should not expect to play through regular groups. Pace of play is 4 hours. Slow play will not be tolerated. Please play ready golf and keep up with the group in front of you. If there is a hole or two open in front of your group and the group behind you is waiting, please let them play through to accommodate the faster players. Mulligans will not be allowed off #1 tee box on weekends & holidays or during heavy play. This will be strictly enforced by the starter. Please have all games and bets figured before reaching #1 tee box. All players are to be ready to tee off at their 2488 scheduled tee time. Please remember that these rules are to ensure enjoyable play for all MCC members and their guests! Please drink plenty of water and stay cool! Cimarron, Bruce & Nick
