Mixed Nine and Dine Wednesday, July 12 th The Mixed Nine and Dine is an event for everyone! All levels of golfers will feel right at home with this fun, relaxed team event. The format for the event is a Step-Aside Scramble. All players will tee off from their appropriate tee and then select the best drive and bring all the other balls to that spot. The person s tee shot that was selected now steps aside and the other three players will play the second shot. That process will now repeat until the hole is complete with the person s shot who is selected steps out and the other three players hit from there. Each player s drive must be used once. Golf will begin with a 5:15 Shotgun. After the round all players will go to the Pool Bar and Restaurant for scoring and dinner. Timeframes Tee Box Men Eligibility Cost Members - $50.00 Guests - $70.00 Playoff Points Golf 5:15 Shotgun Dinner following Golf at the Pool Blue Senior Green (age + handicap = 80+) Ladies Grey Men and women under Full, Young Professional, Weekday and House Memberships 2 points for participating Points awarded to top Teams Men s Club Championship Saturday, July 29 th and Sunday, July 30 th Saturday, August 5 th and Sunday, August 6 th The Men s Club Championship is a Match Play Tournament with an 18 Hole Qualifier. All four rounds will played over two weekends. Flights will be broken down by handicap index with members having the option to move down flights as well but may not move up flights. Handicaps will not be used for tournament play; all matches and the qualifier will be played at scratch. Below are flight details with handicap index and tee box. Championship Flight Handicap index 5.9 and less Black Tees First Flight Handicap index 6.0 11.9 Blue Tees Second Flight Handicap index 12.0 17.9 Blue Tees Third Flight Handicap index 18.0 and up Green Tees Saturday, July 29 th is an 18 Hole Stroke Play Qualifier for each flight to determine match play brackets. The low eight qualifying scores (low seven plus the defending champion for the championship flight) will make it to match play. Each round of match play will take place over the next three tournament days. The championship match for the championship flight will be 36 holes. Any ties in the qualifier will be broken by the recommended USGA method unless there is a tie for the final seed. If there is a tie for the final seed a sudden death playoff will begin immediately following play. In match play if a match is all square after 18 holes players will immediately proceed to the first hole for a sudden death playoff. For all players who did not make Match Play, a Consolation Gross and Net Stroke Play Tournament will be played on Sunday July 30 th. Timeframes Eligibility 8:00 Tee Times all four days Men under Full, Young Professional and Weekday Memberships and any dependent under those memberships (if family membership) may compete BUT only in the Championship Flight. Ladies Club Championship Sunday, August 6 th The Ladies Club Championship is an 18 Hole Stroke Play Gross Tournament. If sign-ups are equal to or greater than eight players the event will break into flights. All players will play from the Grey Tees. If there is a tie for first place at the end of the tournament a sudden death playoff will begin immediately on the first hole. The format for the event is a Best 2 of 4 with prizes awarded for both gross and net winners. The net division will be played at 90% of players current handicap. Closest to the Pin and Long Drive will also be awarded during this event. All prizes will be Golf Shop Gift Certificates. Men s Invitational Thursday, August 24 th (Practice Round) Friday, August 25 th Saturday, August 26 th The Men s Invitational is the premier event at Bellewood Country Club! The event is a Two Day Member Guest that includes everything great at the club. Members and their guest are treated to great food and golf throughout the two days. The format for the event is a Better Ball of Partners Round Robin Match Play Tournament. Teams for the event are made up of one Bellewood member and one guest, both players must have established USGA Handicaps. The field is limited to 60 teams. Teams will play at 90% of their handicap off the low ball for each match. Each team will play five 9-hole matches against each team in their flight. Each match will be worth 9 points, 1 point for each hole (1/2 points awarded to teams that halve a hole). The tournament will be broken down into flights of six teams. Flights are determined by the total team handicap. The team with the highest point total at the end of all five matches wins their flight and moves on to the playoff. Their individual match score will break ties for the overall flight winner. If they also tied their match the tiebreak will go down to a chip off. The format for the Playoff is a 3-Hole aggregate alternate shot using 50% of the total teams handicap. The holes used for the playoff are 11, 12 and 18 with the any ties going back to 12 and 18 repeating until a winner is determined. All flights will tee off 11, the team selects who tees off then alternate for the rest of the hole. Members may change their partner until one week prior to the event. Any partner changes after that may result in the team being placed in the same flight as the previous partner. All cancellations must occur 2 weeks prior to the tournament. If a player cancels within 2 weeks of the event the team will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the tournament. If a team cancels within 1 week of the event the team will incur a cancellation fee 100% of the tournament (exceptions may be considered by the General Manager). Practice round is not included in the tournament price. If the event does not fill up a waitlist will start for any teams that do not complete a full flight (order of registration). If the event does fill up a waitlist will start as well for the any teams over 60. Below is the sign-up timeframes.
