Dancing and Socializing Opportunities Dakota Country Dance Club members get together on a weekly basis. Members receive the Dakota Country Happenings email. Dakota Country Happenings is a an outrageously comprehensive weekly email listing country happenings in the valley and surrounding areas, (rumor has it media is trying to get their hands on it!) watch for it in your email. Thursday Night Line Dance Lessons Line Dance Lessons are held on Thursdays at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse in Sioux Falls from 7:00-8:30PM. Lesson with some country music dance time to follow. $4.00 for Members/$6.00 Non-Members. There will be food and drink specials and a ton of fun! Please Come to our Board Meetings with input on your view of how the club can advance with new activities and events that would evoke your attendance. Next Meeting at the home of Jerry Nusz. Bucks will keep it playing until at least 9:00PM because they know that DCDC members will come out for the fun. This is a great way to keep in touch with club members and show off your dance skills. See you there! The Ballroom Dance Club of Sioux Falls. Attend the only Big Band Ballroom Dance in the area. The second Friday of each month a big band orchestra entertains the crowd with music from past eras; the 40's,50's and 60's. All ages and abilities are welcome. Dance lesson at 6:00 PM, band plays 7:00-10:30 PM. $14.00 per person and $7.00 for students with ID. Dress Code. Dakota Country Dance Club has a book about to be published by Create Space and sold on Amazon.com and Createspace.com The author is Keith Pike. This book shows the progression of DCDC from it inception in 1984 through 2014. We will have a proof copy of this book for Spring Fling. Recruit help for set up before events and clean up afterwards. Help take money at Thursday night line dance lessons. Photo Committee takes pictures of DCDC events and its members at other events. Upload pictures to files on Dakota Country Dance Club s Shutterfly account. Send copies of photos to the newsletter editor, post some pictures onto the DCDC website and/or DCDC Facebook account. Membership Committee thinks of new ways we can work on increasing membership. Maybe form a calling committee to ask previous members to rejoin. Website Committee works to keep website updated. We will teach you how to access the backpages and update events and information on the club.
