From the President Mike Anchor Spring is in the air! Major League Baseball is back! The Augusta Greenjackets are back! The Master s Tournament is around the corner. The Mustang 55th Celebration and Mustang Owner s Museum Grand opening events take place in Charlotte, NC on April 16-20. And, the big event (for the CSRA Mustang Club) is the Annual Mustang and Ford show that we are hosting on May 4 at Fairway Ford. The Motosho registration portal is up. If you ve been waiting to register, please sign up as soon as possible. Registration will be available on the day of show, but it really helps with logistics if you pre-register through Motosho. My offer still stands; If you need help registering for the show, or setting up a Motosho account, please see me (or call me) and I ll be glad to help. I would really like to see a huge turnout from the club members. We have informational flyers to pass out at any events between now and our show (a big one is April s Coffee and Cars). If you need some to pass out, please see one of the club officers. Several of the club members are headed to Houston for the Mustangs Take Flight MCA National Show on March 29-31. It looks like it s going to be a very good show! I m sure we ll have some stories to share at the next meeting. Back to our show. We still need some trophy sponsors, vendors (food as well as merchandise), door prizes and volunteers for parking, registration and 50/50. Please consider helping in one of these areas. The next two months are busy, busy! I hope to see everyone on the 2nd! Mike (El Presidente) PAGE 2
From the Vice-President Don Blackstock Well Hello April! Club members make your plans to attend Ponies in The Smokies next year, WOW what a turnout. Friday they had 146 inside and 564 outside. Saturday a total of 852, Dennis Figley, Steve Prewitt and myself from our club attended. Great venue, good food and vendors. We did find out that a Mustang Show in mid-july is planned at Daytona racetrack, sounds like it will match up to be like PITS (Ponies in The Smokies) and Mustang week. If you are a Facebook junkie like many of us are, Check out the PITS page & Mustangs at Daytona page. Make plans for the Daytona show & Mustang week, They will be here before you know it As you are reading this several of us are attending the MCA National Show in Houston, Lone Star Flight show. Should an awesome event, being able to see aircraft history. Our last meeting before our Fairway Ford show is almost here, CRUNCH TIME! Take care! From the Editor James Aldridge Remember all that rain we had a few weeks ago? Where is it now that we need it? There is still enough pollen around to make a dirt road cloud when cars travel down my street. My sinuses are watering, and my throat feels dry. How is that possible? Oh well, with the Masters only days away, there should be some rain As both mike and Don mentioned, the show/car meet/cruise-in season is about to get in full swing. As you attend events and get the announcements tossed in your car, please be sure to share those with me so I can list then in the newsletter. I know everyone cannot attend everything, but you never know when you might be in the area of an event. You can email me the info or a copy of the flyer or take a picture with your phone and text it to me at 706.294.3593. If you re not first, then you re last!
