CELEBRATING 23 YEARS OF SINGLES GOLF IN AMERICA Cincinnati Chapter - American Singles Golf Association - April 2015 Upcoming Social Events Mingles are on hold until the fall No other non-golf events are scheduled Highlights from Recent Events March Mingle We had 17 members and 3 guests attend the mingle this month. Marsha Barnholtz won split-the-pot and Tim Maybury won the free lesson from our guest speaker Kelly Fegley. However, Tim offered to trade with Marsha, so Marsha gets the free lesson. Kelly spoke mainly about types of putters and grip size. Putting is about 40% of the golf game and is the easiest to improve. Euchre Party Ann Wassmann hosted the March euchre party, serving white chicken chili. 12 people attended the games. Ann Wassmann and Rick Youngberg tied for first place, but Rick had the most loners, so Ann was awarded the first place prize money and Rick took the loaner money. Second place went to Sue Seitz and third place to Dawn Mason. Pat Ressler took home the euchre pot. MEETUP Info We have set up a Meetup.com site for the chapter. We are planning on using the site for notifications of monthly meetings, social events and golf outings for this year. The site can be found at meetup.com/asgacincinnati. You will continue to receive emails notifying you of events, but only if you sign up. Please sign up as this will be the only method of communication for this year. You must create a MEETUP logon. Then make sure you go to the asgacincinnati site and actually click the JOIN US button. Just because you have a MEETUP logon doesn t mean you are member of the group. He waggled, looked up, looked down, waggled again, but didn't start his back swing. Finally his exasperated partner asked, 'What the hell is taking so long?' My wife is watching me from the clubhouse balcony,' Jim explained. 'I want to make a perfect shot.' His companion said, 'You don't have a chance in hell of hitting her from here.'
