This is a premium product made from best quality Radiata Pine Shavings, and is highly recommended. Please state the number you require on your entry form, and include the remittance with your entry fees. You MUST pre order, as there will only be a limited number available to purchase on the day. Terms and Conditions 1. ALL CLASSES will be run under ESNZ rules. Horses & ponies must have current registration for duration of show. Horses & ponies not registered for Jumping can compete with the ESNZ casual levy BUT riders must be full members of the ESNZ. There are NO introductory level classes at this show. Horses & ponies competing using the ESNZ casual levy may not compete in classes over 1.10m for horses and 1.00m for ponies. 2. ONLINE ENTRY at www.main-events.com close on Tuesday 4 December. Payment by direct credit must be received by Thursday 6 December or entries are considered LATE and will incur 50% penalty. POSTAL ENTRIES close earlier on Tuesday 27 November with Taupo Christmas Classic, Main-Events, PO Box 448, Masterton 5840, email xmasclassicsj@gmail.com and are accepted with a $5 data processing fee & on official forms. Payment by direct credit to BNZ Bank, NEC A/C: 02 0428 0287292 26 or by PoliPay during online entry process. Please note, the direct credit option will only be available until 1 Nov. After that all payments must be through PoliPay. If you don't bank with one of the following banks, please enter early so you can do a direct credit instead - PoliPay available for ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, TSB Bank or Westpac. 3. LATE ENTRIES - 50% extra. Class Swaps: Refund less 25% & pay original EF (not late fee) for new class. There will be NO late entries or class swaps after 6pm the night before for the first class in each ring the next morning, or once the judging sheets for a class have been printed, approximately 30 minutes before a class starts. Scratchings Refunds for classes and all other fees including stabling less 25% if notified to the Secretary by email before 5:00pm Friday 7th December, otherwise less 50%. No refunds for class scratchings after 8:00am on day of class but swaps and late entries allowed. 4. DRAW ORDER All classes will be run in draw order. The draw order in the catalogue will be adhered to. In all classes with a call back jump off, late entries and class swaps will go first in the first round and in the jump off. In all other classes, late entries and class swaps will go last. If you have a clash with another class in another ring, or some other sensible reason, you must make arrangements with the gate steward, who will slot you in in a convenient place. IF YOU JUST DON T TURN UP YOU MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO START!! 5. STABLING FOR THE SHOW - Open Yards $40 per horse, Paddocks $40 per horse, (Minimum 3 horses to paddock), Covered Yards $80 per horse and Stables $100 per horse (Restricted to World Cup Horses and Stallions only). The WAIKATO STABLES are available at a cost of $210 for covered stables, and $110 for open stables for the show. These must be ordered and paid for with entries, as we will only be getting the number ordered. NO REFUNDS ON STABLING after Friday 7th December. 6. STABLING PRIORITY - There are limited covered yards, and so priority will be given to horses competing in 1.40m classes and above. However, the Waikato stables will be allocated on a first in first served basis. 7. FACILITY FEE - $30 per horse, and Compulsory Catalogue fee of $5 per customer must be paid with entries. Riders to COLLECT at the office. The Jumping Levy of $5 per horse must be paid with entries. There are NO introductory classes at this show so all riders Page 4 of 5

must be full members of the ESNZ to compete and all equines registered with the ESNZ. Equines that are NOT registered for show jumping can compete using Casual Jumping Levies at $20 for the show. Horses competing on casual starts cannot start in Series Classes and cannot compete above 1.00m for ponies or 1.10m for horses. See the ESNZ website for further details. 8. CAMPING per Truck/Camper (including driver) Powered site $60 for show; or without power $40 for the show or $20 for two nights. Camping per person over 12 years (in addition to driver) - $20 for the show or $10 for two nights. Truck or float registration must be provided for camping passes to be issued and displayed for duration. 9. COMMITTEE reserves the right to alter the programme and prize money, substitute prize money with goods to the same value, and refuse any entry without qualification. 10. PRIZE MONEY - all entry fees and prize money are GST inclusive. A GST receipt can be requested after the show provided the rider's GST number is supplied with entry form and a GST invoice for prize money won is given in return. All prize money will be paid out electronically, on a ratio of 1:7, by 5th January 2019, to the bank account on the entry cheque or specified through online entry, unless a different bank account is nominated by attaching a bank deposit form or on entering online. 11. ENTRIES It is the rider s responsibility to check their entries are shown online before 6th December as confirmation of receipt and to avoid late entry penalties. All entries will receive an email record of entries so if you have not received one, then it is your responsibility to follow up. 12. FEI CLASSES. Classes 32 and 46 will be run under FEI Rules. These are competitions over two rounds, and are run under Articles 273-4.3, 273-3.3.2 and 273-2.2. There will be a trot-up, time TBA. Competitors in class 32 must produce their horses FEI Passport to the Vet at the trot-up. Competitors in class 46 do not require an FEI Passport, but must produce their horses ESNZ identification booklet at the trot up. Acceptances and nominated horses, if applicable, must be received by the Secretary by 5pm on Friday 14 December. 13. CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES. Horses may only start in one Championship class, either 47, 48 or 49. Ponies may only start in one Championship class, either 51, 52 or 53. Ponies may only start in class 44 or 46. 14. NZ UNIVERSITY CLASS See full conditions on ESNZ website. Affiliated universities are Auckland, AUT, Lincoln, Otago, Victoria and Waikato. All other tertiary institutes include Canterbury, Massey, Unitech, polytechs and technical institutes. 15. SERIES CLASSES. Classes 5, 11, 15, 20, 24, 28, 40 and 45 are ESNZ series classes, and will be run under the relevant series conditions. 16. ROOKIE RIDER. Class 18 is open to riders who are 21 or under at 13 December 2018, and who have not, or who will not, compete in classes 1.30m or higher at this show. 17. VETERAN RIDER. Class 36 is open to riders who are 35 or over at 13 December 2018, mounted on horses that have not, and will not, compete in classes 1.30m or higher at this show. 18. GREAT LAKE CHALLENGE. Class 37. The first round on Saturday will be run under Article 238.2.1. Approximately the best 50 competitors, and at least all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round. Penalties will not be carried forward. The second round on Sunday will be run under article 238.2.2 19. RIDERS must check their results at the show or online at www.main-events.com after the event and notify secretary of any errors or omissions by 28 December changes to placings and/or prize money will be made after 28 December 2018. 20. REFUNDS totalling $20 or less will not be paid out. Riders must settle any outstanding balances with the office BEFORE leaving the show. $25 admin fee will be charged where any money outstanding has to be followed up by the secretary after the show. Anyone who does not pay within an acceptable time will be reported to the ESNZ head office. 21. INDIVIDUAL PRIZES payable to individuals in excess of $500 will have withholding tax deducted from the amount in excess of $500, at the rate of 20% provided a correctly completed IR330 is received by the Secretary prior to payment, otherwise at the relevant No Declaration Rate. 22. PRESENTATIONS When there is a presentation to be made, all prize winners are required to attend mounted. Failure to attend may result in forfeiture of any prize money won. We owe it to the sponsors to have really good presentations. 23. OBJECTIONS to be lodged with Secretary, in writing with $30 deposit, within 30 minutes of announcement of official results. 24. DOGS must be RESTRAINED AT ALL TIMES - NO LOOSE DOGS AT ANY TIME AND NO DOGS IN MAIN ARENA PADDOCK AT ANY TIME (unless competing in Terrier Races). Owners that do not comply with this condition will be fined $50 for each offence and persistent offenders will be asked to leave the NEC grounds. 25. TRADE AREA No horses, horse floats or horse trucks are allowed in the trade stand area at any time. 26. HARD HATS displaying current tag and properly secured, must be worn by all riders when mounted on horses or ponies. 27. MOTORBIKES - To be operated in a responsible manner, hard hats to be worn, not operated by anyone under 15 and not to enter main arena paddock. 28. PHOTOGRAPHERS must register ONLINE with Main-Events and check in with the secretary on arrival at the show. No photographers allowed in the arenas unless they display the photographer pass.
