COLTNESS CAR CLUB GRASS AUTOTEST - SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS Coltness Car Club Limited will organise a Clubman s Permit Production Car Autotest on Sunday 27 th March at Kypeside country capers, Strathaven. The meeting will held under the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association Ltd. (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting code of the FISA), these supplementary regulations and any written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event. MSA Permit Number: TBC The Clubman s Production Car Autotest is open to all fully elected members of the organising club. All competitors must produce a valid Club membership card. The programme of the meeting will be:- 1. Scrutineering will start at 10.00 am. Any competitor not signed on by 10:15 am may be excluded. 2. First run starts at 10:30 am. PROMPT The entry list opens upon receipt of the Regulations and closes finally the Friday before the meeting. The entry fee is 20.00 for Adults and 15.00 for Juniors. All entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied with the appropriate fee. The Disclaimers must also be signed and presented with the Entry Form and fees. The event will consist of 9 timed runs of which the best 7 will count towards the championship. The winners will be decided by the fastest 7 runs from 9 as well. The event will consist of six classes detailed below: CHAMPIONSHIP AND CLASSES. Senior Championship. CLASS 1: CLASS 2: CLASS 3: CLASS 4: Junior Championship. CLASS 5: 1400cc. Front wheel drive up to 1400cc Front wheel drive over 1400cc Rear wheel drive Kit cars and Specials 4 wheel drive Production car class- juniors 14yrs 17yrs with a maximum engine size of Awards will be presented as follows: Trophy for First in each class. No competitor may win more than one award. All awards will be presented at end of day. Provisional results will be published as soon as possible following the end of the event. Any protest must be lodged in accordance with O 5.1. The maximum entry for the meeting, including reserves is 40. The minimum is 10. The minimum for each class is 3. Should any of the above minimum figures not be reached, the organisers reserve the right to either cancel the meeting or amalgamate classes as necessary. Entries will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Entry fees may be refunded for entries withdrawn in writing up to 24 hours prior to the time the competition is scheduled to start. Points will be awarded for 1 st (25pts),2 nd (20pts), 3 rd (18pts), 4 th ( 15pts) & 5 th (12Pts). These points will count to the overall yearly championship where the competitor s best 7 event scores will count. Should there be an occasion where the entry number is below the minimum required level (3) then that event will automatically count as a dropped event.
GRASS- TEST RULES AND REGULATIONS. All vehicles must comply with MSA Technical Regulations and Supplementary Regulations detailed below: 1. Order of attempting the test will be at the organiser s discretion. Practising will not be allowed. 2. All Juniors (Class 5) must wear a helmet at all times when participating in the timed runs. 3. All juniors (Class 5) must carry a passenger throughout the event. The passenger must hold a RTA licence and be experienced in autotesting. 4. Any senior entrants that hold a RLA licence must carry a passenger. The minimum age for the passenger is 12. (Signed on with full parental consent). 5. Any senior entrant s that don t hold a RTA license the passenger must hold a RTA licence and be experienced in autotesting. 6. Any driver may not enter to drive more than two cars. The same car cannot be entered to compete more than twice and then only if driven by different drivers. When a competitor enters more than one car, he/she must nominate which entry is to count towards the event and championship prior to the commencement of the event. 7. Should a senior (Class 1-4) drivers car break down they will be allowed to continue in another vehicle from any class however the points and times earned that day will not be valid towards either the event or championship. 8. Should a juniors (Class 5)car brake down they will be allowed to continue the event is a car that is eligible for the relevant class and the times gained will be eligible towards both the event and championship. 9. All marshals and event participants must sign on prior to the event commencement. 10. Anyone speeding, driving or behaving in a reckless manner WILL BE EXCLUDED
Scoring and Penalties A fail will be issued if a competitor fails to complete the course. 5 second penalty will be incurred if a competitor knocks over or moves a cone from its original location. A fail will be issued if a competitor navigates the course incorrectly. A 10 second penalty is incurred if the competitor fails to stop within the finish box. A fail consists of the slowest time by any competitor in the class +30 seconds. PRODUCTION CAR AUTO TEST REGULATIONS Production cars must comply with: Body (including Aerodynamics): 1. Body shape must conform to the original silhouette of the production vehicle and retain the original layout of engine and transmission 2. Bumpers can be removed and wheel arch extensions added 3. An effective windscreen or aero screen must be fitted. 4. Engine must comply with C(b)- 10. 5. Silencing must comply with silencing levels within C(b)- 23. 6. 1 Safety: all open cars and specials are recommended to fit roll- over bars to at least C(c)- 31-35. The following parts must remain unmodified: 1. Chassis 2. Seating 3. Suspension 4. Brakes 5. Steering 6. Tyres 7. Cooling systems 8. Oil Systems 9. Fuel/Electrical Systems 10. Weight/Ballast 11. Exhaust/Silencing Vehicles not complying with the above, will be classed as specials. One Passenger must be carried in each competing car to assist in giving directions to the Driver. The passenger must occupy the seat alongside the driver and wear an approved and properly fastened safety belt at all time during the test. No other passengers are allowed in the vehicle during the test. If the Driver does not hold a valid RTA licence, then the passenger must hold a RTA licence and be experienced in Auto- testing. Cars competing in this class must comply with Technical regulations 42 & 43 and C(b).
The vehicle must be defined as a touring car. Every Production Car must have been in series production and on general catalogued sale, available from stock through normal retail dealer outlets in the OK. Open sports cars can only compete with their hoods erected or a hard top fitted. THESE REGULATIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO THE MSA REGULATIONS. 1. Any vehicle may have interior removed. 2. Safety devices i.e. roll cages, bucket seats, harnesses are permitted in all class and do not affect the class. 3. Grass tyres may be fitted to improve grip and do not affect class. 4. Juniors are advised to wear helmets at all tests. 5. Each test consists of 9 timed runs the best 7 count to final results and championship. 6. Championship 8 tests for summer series 7. Al cars will be identified by number painted on both rear windows written on white paint/pen assigned on day of test. 8. Timing carried out either stopwatches or electronic timers. 9. All cars will be started by a countdown and the timer will be started by front wheels passing the start line. 10. The starting signal will be verbal countdown i.e. 3, 2, 1 Go. 11. Distance between gates will be 3-4 metres. Section C(b) is listed in the MSA Blue Book 2011, this can be shown to competitors on request by any Coltness Car Club Commute member. The Term Touring Car is defined within the MSA Blue Book 2016. This is a Clubman s event so ALL competitors MUST help by marshalling and timekeeping.

Nothing in this clause is intended to or shall be deemed to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury. To the fullest extent permitted by law I agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of the Parties in respct of any loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever arising from my participation in the Event. 2. I declare that to the best of my belief the driver(s) possess(es) the standard of competence necessary for an event of the type to which this entry relates and that the vehicle entered is suitable and roadworthy for the event having regard to the course and the speeds which will be reached. 3. I understand that should I at the time of this event be suffering from any disability whether permanent or temporary which is likely to affect prejudicially my normal control of my vehicle, I may not take part unless I have declared such disability to the ASN which has, following such declaration, issued a licence which permits me to do so. 4. I have read and fully understood the Procedure for Control of Drugs and Alcohol as contained in the Competitors' and Officials' Yearbook Regulations H39, D35.1, G15.1.4 and have also fully familiarised myself with the information on the web sites referred to (www.ukad.org.uk and www.wada- ama.org) in particular the UK Anti Doping Rules which have been adopted by the MSA (as amended). Further, if I am counter-signing as the Parent or Guardian of a minor then in addition to the deemed consent to the testing of that minor (UKAD Code Art 5.6.2) I hereby confirm that I give such consent for the minor concerned to be tested. 5. I hereby agree to abide by the MSA Child Protection Policy and Guidelines and the National Sporting Code of Conduct. 6. If I am the Parent or Guardian of the driver 'I understand that I shall have the right to be present during any procedure being carried out under the Supplementary Regulations issued for this event and the General Regulations of the MSA.' Further, I agree to pay as liquidated damages any fines imposed upon me up to the maxima set out in Part 3, Appendix 1.'
