Apologies: Roger Sale, Lisa Spinks, Margaret Marsh 2. Minutes of last meeting 23 rd November 2014 were agreed as a true copy and signed by the Chairman and Secretary. 3. Matters arising from minutes 23 rd November 2014 None 4. Officers Reports Chair I would first like to apologise for the lack of attendance at County events by my self this year because of personal reasons and to thank all the other committee members for keeping things going. It is good to know we have a strong team of people to keep things running. I would like to give a big thanks to the two outgoing members of the committee Gordon Sargeant and Chris Petchey for their service to the County. It looks like we might have more record status shoots in the County in the following year, which must be good for the archers in the County, may this trend continue. I would like to wish all the members of the County a happy Christmas and new year and to a shooting season of many goals. Secretary No report Treasurer Thanks to Kay for auditing the books. Main points County made profit of 1040.03 1

Coaching made a loss but that is due to the way the courses were run and when the money went in and out. The bond of 2500 has been moved to the savings account. Full details attached. Ian Clayton thanked Gordon on behalf of the county for his work. Membership County Membership Report 2015 Senior Junior Club Total AMWES Archery Club 7 16 23 Friskney Bowmen 14 5 19 Gainsborough Archers 6 1 7 Glanford Bowmen 4 4 Grantham Archers 25 7 32 Grimsby Archers 49 13 62 Isle of thorns 4 4 Kirton Lindsey 27 4 31 Lincoln Archers 76 29 105 Louth Archers 16 12 28 Louth & District Disabled 16 16 North End Archers 13 8 21 Pilgrim Bowmen 24 10 34 Silver Spoon Bowmen 29 14 43 Sleaford Maltsters 21 17 38 Trackside Archers 9 8 17 Independent 8 8 Total 348 144 492 This year 2 new Clubs started up in the County giving us 15 Senior clubs, 11 Junior clubs, 1 disabled Club and 8 Independent members. Total members renewed so far is 492 which is 65 more than this time last year. Lincoln University also started a club at the beginning of the year but as yet they haven t renewed their membership. CCO Although Barry is still keeping the role running the county does need a CCO. Barry also requests all coaching renewals are scanned and e-mailed to him no hard copies please. 2

The Level 2 course assessed in March with all 8 Lincolnshire candidates passing; the 500 grant from EMAS has been split between all the Lincs Learners. I organised an event for Danni Brown in EMAS for coaches and archers, which was fully subscribed. There has been 2 Level 1 courses in the County organised by Mike wood, I can confirm that all Learners passed their assessments. I have recently organised the Development Squad for this winter, which will run for 6 months concluding with a shoot in April, this is part funded by the EMAS grant which has been applied for and we should receive in March 2016. Mike and I are in talks to do a further Level 1 course and Level 2 Course in 2016 and MAYBE a CC course. Watch this space. I continue to receive and vet all coach renewal prior to forwarding then on for renewal. Records For the past year I have been quite busy with records from all disciplines. Several archers have improved on their own previous scores setting new records for themselves. The standard is becoming very high. With this report is a copy of most of this years records and the website is up to date as of the 30th October 2015. A couple of issues have risen from the records and I would be grateful if they could be put on the agenda at some point in the not too distant future. 1) I have been asked on several occasions if it would be possible to accept records via email? With the official claim form and score sheet/results sheet attached of course. 2) If a junior shoots an adult round, paying the fee of a junior. Can they claim an adult record? Q1 No problem with e-mailing records, but hard copies do need to be kept. Expenses can be claimed by records officer for this purpose. Q2 If juniors shoot a senior round and achieve a record then it goes in the junior section, therefore there can be records in juniors for York, Hereford etc. but cannot take a senior record. Proposal Juniors shooting county shoots who wish to shoot a senior round will need to pay senior fees. This information will be included on the entry forms. Proposer Ian Prescott Seconder Gordon Sargeant majority in favour Senior Team Manager The Senior Inter-Counties shoot Recurve and Compound were 3 rd, Longbow and Barebow were 5 th. There was some disagreement about how the barebow teams were made up but it was eventually sorted out. The match against Leicestershire was lost. Coming up next year it is planned to alternate the Outdoor County Champs with matches against Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. 2016 being against Leicestershire. Also looking at trying to organise another competition against another county. Junior Team Manager 2014/2015 has been a successful 12 months for the Lincs Juniors. In July a team of 11 archers took part in the Sydney Bond and both the recurve and compound teams walked away with the first place trophies. The compound team made up of Charlene Marsh, Alex Taylor, Abbie Spinks and Sam Edwards put together a team score of 1840 to Derbyshires 1830. The recurve team of Amy Gott, Jacob Boden, Jack Tucker, Jamie Major, Emily Coughlin. Kian Watkins and Stephen O Connor put in a score of 2670 to Northants 2635 The weather at this shoot was particularly wet so the judges made a decision to shorten the rounds from Bristols to Nationals. This was also Sam and Jamies first shoot for the County so doubly well done to them. 3

In August Lincolnshire sent a team to Great Glen for a match against Leicestershire, beating them by a good margin of 149 points, unfortunately this wasn t enough to prevent Lincolnshire losing the overall match due to the senior teams losing margin. The team breakdown is as follows: Rec Amy Gott B3 1208 Stephen O Connor B4 1126 Emily Coughlin B3 1068 Jamie Major B3 998 Louis Perkins B2 1270 Jack Tucker B2 1164 Kian Watkins B4 1088 Jacob Boden B3 retired total rec 7922 Comp Charlene Marsh B2 1232 Sam Edwards B2 1130 Alex Taylor B1 1240 Katie Walden B5 1119 total comp 1240 Lastly in terms of competition a team made up of Tilly Craven, Kian Watkins and Jack Tucker went to Derwent Bowmens venue for an experimental regional indoors competition and didn t disgrace themselves. Tilly and Jack both gained silver after the head to heads and Kian shot well to get through his first match before going out to the eventual winner. A number of Lincolnshire archers have retained or gained places of both recurve and compound academies and development squads to train this winter and as Team manager I would like to congratulate these archers on behalf of LCAS. I am having to change my selection policy after guidance from EMAS, I will no longer offer places to archers who are on academy or development squads with AGB and the standing order will be altered accordingly. Tournament No report EMAS Updates on last meeting Sydney Bond request for more juniors to be invited was rejected by EMAS. The fee change for development grants, which was discussed at the last county meeting was rejected. It remains for counties to apply for development grants 4

Senior Inter Counties competition there was a complaint about using Method 1 (3 and 3 arrows). Counties to discuss and return and EMAS will suggest that is the method used. LCAS voted method 2 (6 arrows). EMAS is looking at purchasing a set of timing equipment for counties to hire. LCAS agreed it was a good idea. Development grant needs to be applied for this month, any suggestions. It was agreed to apply for timing equipment, which was portable for use of clubs within the county and for training purposes. Lincs would have to pay the larger part but it was thought it was a good investment. Proposer Geoff Thomas Seconder Ian Prescott all in favour Development Since I have taken on the role of Development Officer, Lynn and I have tried to encourage clubs who originally registered for On Target to complete their registration and apply for a specialism. Lynn kindly emailed the clubs to try and arrange meetings to discuss development plans and to try and provide support to the clubs. This led to a meeting in June where Lynn, Barry and myself went along to meet with Friskney Bowmen. Lincolnshire Sports Partnership also came to the meeting to offer help. We discussed with Friskney Bowmen how to apply for On Target with a Community Specialism and their other plans. The meeting was lively and enthusiastic and I am pleased to report that Friskney Bowmen gained their On Target with Community Specialism in September. Development Grants are still being given by EMAS on a pro rota basis and new applications for grants will need to be completed soon for next year so if anyone has any particular ideas for development please let me know. Also any clubs requiring any support for development or in applying for On Target Specialisms please contact me as we can provide guidance in completing the applications and gain help from Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. Finally I would like to thank Lynn and Barry for their support and congratulate Friskney Bowmen on gaining their On Target - Community Specialism. 5.
