CAI** class competitors will combine scores with the equivalent BC Classes for the purposes of placings, rosettes and National Championship qualifications. Competitors must state whether they are entering the class as a CAI competitor on the entry form. Qualifiers: National Carriage Driving Championships. The Worshipful Company of Saddlers will present a hand stitched English Leather headcollar to the para-equestrian driver and young driver (as stipulated for British Carriagedriving Young Members) with the lowest overall score (irrespective of the class entered). If the driver with the lowest overall score is already in receipt of a Saddlers prize in 2014, the headcollar for that event will be awarded to the next eligible driver not already in receipt of a Saddlers prize. Multiple prizes will only be awarded if there are no eligible drivers not yet in receipt of a Saddlers prize at that event. Competition Details A (i) Presentation: On the move during Dressage Test for all classes. National Novice competitors will have a Safety Check prior to their dressage test. A (ii) Driven Dressage: All tests in a 100m x 40m arena. Please state on entry form if extra caravans required and add fee of 10 per caravan. Matting is compulsory under bedding in portable stabling at all National events. Failure to supply sufficient matting could mean a Competitor is not allowed to compete. The Event can arrange delivery of mats from local suppliers if you wish to purchase them on site. A payment to cover the cost of restitution of the ground may be levied for noncompliance. Catering: Our caterers, Danny s Snacks, and Scott Hospitality are once again on site from Thursday with a full range of catering and bar facilities. Please support them with your custom. RDA Dressage, Cones & Obstacle Competition: Thursday afternoon sponsored by Taken Event Photography. Entertainment: Reception for Volunteers, Sponsors, Judges and Competitors on Friday evening, and a Ceilidh on Saturday evening after the Prizegiving. Marathon Information: The marathon runs over undulating ground through wooded tracks, fields and parkland. Location: The Hopetoun Estate is situated on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, west of the Forth Road Bridge, 6 miles west of Edinburgh. Access to showground is from the A904 (via A90 or M9). Competitors in National Novice classes can compete at Regional and National events as Associate members. PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES If the driver is under 18 years of age, the name of a responsible adult (over 18) who will be able to attend in case the driver s horse(s) are selected for drug testing, must be given on the entry form.
