CELEBRATING 23 YEARS OF SINGLES GOLF IN AMERICA Tampa Bay Chapter- American Singles Golf Association March 2015 President s Message I know it's only March but so far 2015 has been busy with golf and a variety of social events. Sharon Leavitt, golf chair and Jan Dean, social chair will continue to schedule two events each month. We have to be one of the most active ASGA chapters in the State of Florida if not the entire country. Join the fun and be sure to tell your single friends. New members are always welcome. Please mark your calendars now. To honor the memory of Rob Brauns, our 2014 president, we will have a special charity golf event at the Eagles on April 26. This event will be open to everyone, not just ASGA members. I know the committee of Midge Orris, Anne Phillips, Renee Roulo, Julie Miller and Janie Bowers are planning an event to remember. Please plan to attend this special event and help us raise money for the fight against pancreatic cancer. We will be posting details on the website as they become available. And finally, don't forget, our next monthly meeting is March 10 at the Eagles. See you there. ~Lynne Lupkes From The Golf Corner The month of February we had two exciting golf events. The Super Bowl outing held at East Lake Woodlands and the Summerfield Crossings event. Both were well attended, highly successful golf outings. So to keep the process rolling, we have two outings scheduled in March. On the 14th is the re-schedule of the Hernando Oaks, with tee times starting at 11am. For this one wear your best green St. Patrick's Day outfit. The most original or most colorful will win a prize. Also on March 29th is Northdale golf club. We have a 1pm shotgun start with a cost of $41.73 which includes tax. We will decide on the dinner afterwards a little later in the month. You must be at the meeting to collect the prize. Social Committee Well, we had many wonderful social outings in February. They were well attended and from bike riding to happy hours to Top Golf everyone had such positive things to say. We had a fun month for certain. March is going to be another busy time for ASGA. Come join in! Happy hours at the Chart House are the 6th and 20th. Tampa Bay Downs takes place March 8th. A Kayaking outing is scheduled on Thursday March 26th and our bike ride on the trail is March 3rd. For St. Patrick s Day on the 17 th the celebration is a home party. It will make you green with envy if you miss it!
