Greetings and Welcome to the 2018 Golf Season! Your PGA Professionals cannot wait to get the golf season underway, and to spend another season with our members. I truly believe that we have an outstanding mix of fun, social, and competitive golf events that will give golfers of all abilities something to look forward to this season. Excitement and enthusiasm are two pillars that we hope to build the 2018 golf season around. One main goal for the 2018 season is to create excitement around our schedule of events, and to show our members that there are golf events available for everyone from the novice golfer to the experienced tournament player. I also look for our staff to lead by example and create a feeling of enthusiasm within the membership regarding the golf season at CCP. In addition to the main events throughout the season, please keep your eye out for some extra events that were successful in 2017 and will be offered to our members this season. In April, we will offer the Junior Varsity Golf Clinic. We will also offer our Thirsty Thursday Ladies Clinic beginning in March. This clinic is geared towards bringing new ladies into the game, or offering a tune up for the lady golfer that is looking to return to the game. A few other events to look forward to will be the Klondike Classic in March, the 1-Day Member-Guest in May and October, the Youth vs. Experience Duel in June, and our Biggest Loser golf clinic program. Thank you in advance for your participation! Chad Martin, PGA Head Professional

Golf Rules and Information The 2018 golf season is now upon us, so for everyone to have a fantastic golf experience, please adhere to the following rules: Before playing, all members, family members, including private cart owners, and guests must check-in with the Golf Shop. All guests are required to complete a guest card. The provisions of the Club By-Laws govern guest play. All play shall start at Hole #1 unless approved by the Professional Staff or Head Professional. Members are strongly encouraged to reserve starting tee times. Local resident carts shall remain on cart paths when traveling to and from the golf course and Club. Children of members must have a valid driver s license to operate golf carts or any motorized vehicle on Club property. Please repair all ball marks on greens & rake bunkers. Members shall post all 9-hole or 18-hole scores for handicap purposes. Failing to post a score will result in the entry of a penalty score. A minimum of eight scores will certify a member handicap for Club competition. If a member posts less than eight scores, the Golf Committee will determine participation in Club competition. Foursomes only from April 1 through October 1, unless approved by the Golf Professional Staff.

Golf carts are not permitted within 30 yards to the green. Cart rules for play each day are posted on 1 & 10 tee, as well as in the Golf Shop. Range balls are the property of the Club and are not allowed for use on the golf course. The Club prohibits any member or guest from bringing alcoholic beverages onto the Club s property in accordance with Kentucky statutes. Local guests may use the golf course only under these conditions: 1. Approved Outing. 2. As a prospective member or accompanied by a member. 3. Three times per year. Unaccompanied guests must be approved at the discretion of the Professional Staff or Head Golf Professional. The Head Golf Professional and his staff will direct the daily golf activities and rules established by the Board of Directors. MEN S GOLF TOURNAMENT RULES 1. All tournament play shall be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf, except as modified by the posted local rules. 2. The Golf Course Superintendent shall determine whether the course is playable and when and where golf carts may be used. 3. The Chairman of the Golf Committee in conjunction with the Head Golf Professional shall determine whether an event shall be postponed or play suspended due to adverse weather conditions. 4. Players intending to play tournaments must check dates that rounds are to be played before entering their names on the designated sign-up sheets. 5. Sign-up sheets shall be posted at the Golf Shop prior to all golf events. Entry deadlines will be posted for all matchplay events and stroke-play events in which the Head Golf Professional assigns foursomes. 6. All stroke-play events, including qualifiers, must be played on designated dates. All putts must be holed out. 7. In match-play, the player on top of the draw shall contact his opponent to schedule the match. All matches shall be played by the scheduled dates of completion. If both players and sides are unavailable, both sides shall be declared defaulted. 8. All events are open to MEMBERS ONLY. 9. In all tournaments, the maximum handicap is 25. Exceptions are made per event. 10. With fairness to all members, the Golf Committee reserves the right to adjust handicaps as deemed necessary. Adjustments will be made with reasonable, prior notice to the affected player, who shall then have the right to a hearing prior to the effective date of the proposed change. Each player is individually responsible for posting all his own scores upon completion of the round. Scores of rounds played at other courses must also be posted.

11. The Golf Committee in conjunction with Head Golf Professional reserves the right to make any and all rulings required during tournament play. 12. In the event of a tie, the provisions of the procedure sheet for the particular event shall govern. If for any reason the procedure sheet does not describe what to do in the event of a tie, the USGA recommendation shall apply. 13. Players are required to submit completed scorecards, with first and last names printed, to the scoreboard immediately upon the conclusion of tournament play. Scorecards are to be duly signed and attested. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. JUNIOR GOLF RULES Our Club is fortunate that the membership has always been supportive of our junior programs. In order to maintain the opportunity for children to gain a true interest in the game of golf, we actively look for ways to get them involved as they grow through the years. Policies governing all junior play are set by the Golf Committee on an annual basis. The following classifications of junior play are recognized at the Country Club of Paducah: JUNIOR GOLFERS: ages 5 through 13 LITTLE CHIPPERS: ages 4 and under Junior Golfers: Must be accompanied by parent or advanced junior on the weekend times, and may play through the week at the designated times. Intermediate players must be enrolled in the junior program. Little Chippers: Must be accompanied by an adult member at all times. Junior Tee Times: Weekday reservations can be made after 3:00pm the day before play. Weekend times will only be given the day of play.

If the junior is playing with the parent, regular tee time rules apply. (One week in advance.) If the junior does not show for his or her tee time, tee time requests will not be taken for 14 days and the junior is only allowed to make a tee time the day of play. The Golf Committee will address a second offense. Junior Times: Monday & Tuesday 3:00 pm - dark Wednesday - Friday 8:00 am - 9:30 am & 2:00 pm - dark Weekends: 2:00 pm - dark *Pro Shop has discretion on tee times PGA Junior League This will be our 5th year producing a PGA Jr. League team. PGA Junior League Golf is designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls ages 13 and under. It features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game!

CCP Scrip Policy All Golf Shop Scrip will be issued during the 2018 calendar year. Golf Shop Scrip will begin on January 1 st of the current calendar year and will end on December 28 th of the current calendar year. All special orders that will use Scrip must be placed by December 1 st of the current calendar year. After December 1 st, Scrip can only be used on purchases from the current Golf Shop inventory. Any Scrip that is not used by December 28 th will be written off and will not be available for use in the following calendar year. The Golf Shop Staff will do their best to let every member know about any unused Scrip. CCP Players Shootout The CCP Players Shootout is way to recognize those golfers that actively participate in events throughout the year. Points are awarded for various events for participation and scoring. A points chart is maintained throughout the year and the member who earns the most points over the season will be crowned Player of the Year. Those that finish in the top 30 of the points list will be invited to play in the CCP Players Shootout. This event will be the final event worth points towards Player of the Year. The Top 30 players will be invited to participate and based on the number of participants will determine the size of the flights. Each flight will be decided according to handicaps. Each flight will play 9 holes and the last player remaining from each flight will advance to a sudden death playoff to determine the overall winner. The list of events that will be worth points along with information of how points are broken down will be posted in the Golf Shop.

Men s Night Men s Night will be held every Wednesday evening (weather permitting) starting April 25 th and ending on September 12 th. You may sign-up for Men s Night throughout the week by stopping in, calling, or emailing the Golf Shop. We ask all participants to be signed up at least 20 minutes ahead of playing so we can enter everyone into our Tournament Pairing Program and create teams. Each player is required to have a handicap. Men s Night will start at 5:30, with dinner following afterwards on most occasions. Every team will be assigned an A player, and that player will be responsible for recording the team score and turning in the team scorecard at the end of the round. The cost to participate in Men s Night is $20 per player (cash only). The 1 st & 2 nd Place Teams will be paid out as long as there are 40 participants or more. If participation is under 40, only the 1 st Place Team will be paid. Skins will be paid to the team(s) with the lowest gross score on a hole. Skins will be carried over from week to week if there are no winners for that night. We will do our best to hand out prizes to the winning teams after play, but prizes may also be picked up in the Golf Shop the following day. The Year Ending Scramble will be held on September 24 th. Any player can qualify for the Year Ending Scramble by playing in at least 10 Men s Night events throughout the year. In the case of cancellation after starting play, those players signed up will receive credit for participating. There is a total of 20 Men s Night events scheduled for the year. *Note: Alternate formats may be used during 2018.

Please be mindful of your position on the course and keep pace with the group in front. Our expectation is for no more than four hours twelve minutes for your round. Playing at an enjoyable pace is an important part of your golf experience at the Country Club of Paducah. Rule 6-7 states, in part: The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines which may be laid down by the Committee, and thereafter prescribes penalties for slow play. In order to prevent any such penalty, we suggest that you review the following guidelines. Below you will find the day-to-day procedures taken for being out of position. Procedures when Out of Position *One bad timing exceeding the allotted time Being notified as out of position and ask you return to position as quickly as possible. *A second bad timing Please allow the group(s) behind you to play through. *A third bad timing You will be asked to skip a hole to return to position. Definition of Out of Position : The first group(s) to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, the group is behind the prescribed schedule as detailed on the next page s Pace of Play Time Chart. Any following group will be considered out of position if it (a) is taking more than the allotted time to play and (b) reaches the teeing ground of a par-3 hole and the preceding group has cleared the next tee; reaches the teeing ground of a par-4 hole and the putting green is clear; or reaches the teeing ground of a par-5 hole when the preceding group is on the putting green. Both (a) and (b) must apply for a group to be out of position. Allotted Time: When play is in groups of three (Stroke Play), groups will be required to play at no more than a 4-hour and 12-minute pace for the 18-hole round. (See below for Pace of Play Time Chart). When play is in groups of two (Match play), groups will be required to play at no more than a 3-hour 40-minute pace for the 18-hole round (See below for Pace of Play Time Chart). When a group/match is being monitored and timed each player in the group/match is expected to play any stroke within 40 seconds after timing of the player s stroke begins. Other than

on the putting green, the timing of a player s stroke will begin when he has had reasonable opportunity to reach his ball, it is his turn to play and he can play without interference or distraction. The following is the allotted time to play a hole after timing of the player s stroke begins: Normal Play: Time Given Hole 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Time :15 :28 :42 :56 1:11 1:24 1:38 1:52 2:06 Min. :15 :13 :14 :14 :15 :13 :14 :14 :14 Hole 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 Time 2:20 2:35 2:48 3:02 3:15 3:29 3:43 3:57 4:12 Min. :14 :15 :13 :14 :13 :14 :14 :14 :15 Tournament Play: Time Given Hole 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Time :16 :30 :45 1:00 1:16 1:30 1:45 2:00 2:15 Min. :16 :14 :15 :15 :16 :14 :15 :15 :15 Hole 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 Time 2:30 2:46 3:00 3:15 3:29 3:44 3:59 4:14 4:30 Min. :15 :16 :14 :15 :14 :15 :15 :15 :16 ****************************************************************** Attention all golfers, please adhere to these cart rules on the course! Carts should enter from and exit the cart paths at 90 to your ball. Carts are allowed to 90 in and out of the roughs. After hitting your shot, return to the cart path at 90 or proceed thru the fairway to your next shot. All carts should return to the cart path at the sign (30 yards from the green) in the middle of the fairway and remain on the path thru the next tee.
