MAG & TURBO CLUB RACE DAY 5 SUNDAY 5TH MAY 2019 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS PARTS ONE & TWO 1. JURISDICTION This event is a National Race Meeting, promoted by the Canterbury Car Club Inc. at Mike Pero Motorsport Park, Ruapuna. The Meeting will be held under these Supplementary Regulations, the MotorSport NZ National Sporting Code and its Appendices and Schedules particularly Appendix Four, Schedule Z being the Standing Regulations for all Race Meetings and Appendix Two, Schedule A Driver and Vehicle Safety Requirements and Schedule AA. The MotorSport NZ Permit Number is: 190144 2. MAJOR OFFICIALS 2.1 Organising Committee: General Manager Assistant Manager Mark Wederell Chris Protheroe 2.2 Secretary of the Meeting: Anne Stewart For all enquiries prior to the event, please contact the Canterbury Car Club office. 2.3 Officials of the Meeting: Clerk of the Course Bevin Godfrey A full list of the Officials of the Meeting will be posted on the notice board on the day. 3. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS The Canterbury Car Club has scheduled one qualifying session and three races for each of the following vehicle classes or types: Club Saloons Classic Saloons Single Seaters and Open Wheel Sports Cars 4. PROGRAMME OF EVENTS Documentation & Scrutineering: 8:30 10:00am New Drivers Briefing: 10:00am Drivers Briefing: 10:20am The full programme for the day will be published on canterburycarclub.co.nz and be available at documentation.

5. ENTRIES 5.1 Entries must be submitted in hard copy form. All such entries must be made on the correct form, must be complete in all detail, and accompanied by the appropriate fees. (1) Faxed entries and submissions through the Motorsport NZ online entry system will not be accepted. (2) Entries should be forwarded to; Canterbury Car Club P.O. Box 16610 Hornby Christchurch Or emailed to admin@canterburycarclub.co.nz Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with the prescribed provisions of the National Sporting Code. 5.2 Opening and Closing Dates: Entries for each meeting open with the publication of these Supplementary Regulations. Standard entries close at 12:00pm Friday 3rd May. Entries lodged after this time, and before the closing of entries at 10:00am on race day will be subjected to the On the Day entry fee. Please note - Submitting your fully completed entry form before the close of standard entries is the only requirement to avoid the late fee. Payment is preferred early to save time, but not required until documentation. All entries shall be on the Official Entry Form for this event and accompanied with the Entry Fee (Entries received on previous Club Day Entry Forms will not be accepted). Acceptance of Entry. No acceptance of entry will be posted. Competitors can therefore assume that provided they have completed an entry form fully, paid the appropriate entry fee, and met all requirements in these regulations, that the organiser s will accept their entry. 5.3 Entry Fees: Normal Entry Fee On the Day All Classes $ 170 $200 Juniors (12-18 years old) (Proof of D.O.B maybe required) $ 100 $130 Dual Entry Fee (Must be done on hard copy entry form) $ 50 Dual Entries A driver may choose to enter more than one class (eg Club Saloons and Classics) provided that their car fits into both classes. The $50 Dual entry fee will apply on top of the standard fee. 5.4 Payments: Entry fees can be pre paid, or made on the day at documentation. Preferred payment method is by internet transfer to CCC Bank account 02 0865 0020166 025. For security reasons, Credit Card payments will only be accepted in person at the CCC office pre event or at Documentation on the day. 5.5 Entry Fee refunds policy: 1) The Organisers advise that entry fees will only be refunded if advised before the completion of documentation (2) The Organisers confirm that entry fees will not be refunded for abandonment or cancellation of the meeting after the commencement of documentation.

5.6 Pit Garages: Pit garages are available on a first served basis at a cost of $30. Garages need to be booked early, as we usually have them all booked a week out from the event. Reminder The Pit Wall is CLOSED for this event. Renting a pit garage does not entitle you to access the pit wall at any time for this event. 6. COMPETITOR REQUIREMENTS & UNDERSTANDING 6.1 Licence Requirements: The driver must hold as a minimum a C Grade Competition Licence. If the Entrant is other than a driver, an Entrants licence in the name of the Entrant is required. 6.2 New Drivers: Any driver(s) who have not previously competed in more than three race events, or at the circuit must indicate the fact on the entry form and attend the New Competitors Briefing session. This briefing will be at 10:00am in the Wigram room (at the base of the control tower). 6.3 Competitor Understanding: In submitting the entry competitors (Entrant and Drivers) are deemed to fully understand the MotorSport NZ National Sporting Code and its relevant Appendices and Schedules. In particular: The National Sporting Code Articles pertaining to protests and competitors obligations, and Schedule Z Articles detailing Flag signals and Code of Conduct. 7. DOCUMENTATION & SCRUTINEERING AUDIT INSPECTION 7.1 Documentation: Documentation is compulsory for ALL COMPETITORS and MUST be completed at the Race Secretary s office before using the circuit. List of Documents to be produced are: Current Competition Licence / Current Club Membership Card / Log Book 7.2 Scrutineering/Audit: These inspections will occur concurrently with documentation. During the documentation process, you will be advised whether your vehicle is to be subjected to audit. You should assume that your vehicle is going to be subjected to audit and as a consequence is in readiness to be taken to the audit venue immediately after you have concluded documentation. A vehicle must not start the event until that audit has been satisfactorily completed or logbook signed off. 8. POSTPONEMENT CANCELLATION ABANDONMENT & ORGANISERS RIGHTS Pursuant to national Sporting Code Article 13, the organisers advise that if less than 30 entries are received by the entry closing date the meeting may be postponed or cancelled. Should there be less than 15 entries received for any of the classes proposed in Article 3 of these Supplementary Regulations by the entry closing date, the organisers reserve the right to cancel that class or amalgamate it with another class at their sole discretion. 9. TIMEKEEPING All classes will be electronically timed using the Canterbury Car Club s MyLaps X2 Timing system. All competitors must have an operational MyLaps transponder approved for car or motorcycle racing, fitted for all testing, qualifying sessions and races. Transponders must be fitted in the

correct location as set out in Schedule A. If a competitor s transponder is found to be incorrectly located, lap times and finishing position may be deemed invalid. For those competitors who do not own their own transponder, hire units are available from the Race Secretary s office for $30.00. This charge is additional to the Entry Fee. Transponder brackets are also available for hire transponders at $10 each. Visit www.mylaps.com for information on how to get one of the latest model transponders. 10. DRIVE THROUGH PENALTIES As per Appendix Four Schedule Z article 10.11(2). The time penalty commensurate with a Drive through Penalty shall be 50 seconds. 11. NOISE LIMIT: MAXIMUM PERMITTED NOISE LEVEL The maximum permitted noise level is 95db(A). Appendix 2 Schedule A, 3.8 Noise levels in the current NZ MotorSport Manual. It is the policy of the Canterbury Car Club Inc through its Raceway Noise Management Plan to Black Flag off the circuit any competition vehicle exceeding this level. These vehicles may not resume competition until such time as repairs are carried out to the satisfaction of the appropriate official. Any further breach of the noise level will result in the competition vehicle being penalised further and excluded from the Meeting. Fitting turn down tips to the mufflers after receiving a warning, is not deemed a suitable fix (if turn downs are available for the competitor s car, these must be fitted at all times on the track), otherwise the vehicle may be excluded from the Meeting. The Clerk of Course will be Judge of Fact in these matters and the Raceway Noise Management Plan will take priority over these Supplementary Regulations and the Series Articles. The running of competition engines in the pits before 9.00am and after 6.00pm, must be done with consideration to our neighbours and can only be done at low revs. Anyone deemed to be creating excessive noise during this time period, may be excluded from the Meeting. 12. COMPETING VEHICLES It is the policy of The Canterbury Car Club Inc. to exclude from the meeting, any entered vehicle and competitor driving outside of the Pit Paddock or the Race Circuit proper in any form of test activity once the Meeting has commenced. 13. FUEL HANDLING AND STORAGE Mike Pero Motorsport Park has 100 octane leaded Race Fuel for sale on site. Competitors are reminded that they are required to be familiar with the MotorSport New Zealand Code of Practice for Motorsport Fuel - Storage and Handling. It is the Competitors responsibility to meet all requirements whilst at the circuit, in particular but not limited to, compliance with fuel quantities and fire extinguishers. The Clerk of the Course and/or his nominated delegate may carry out random inspections. Details are available on the MotorSport New Zealand website. Ethanol: Drivers using this fuel must have their vehicle clearly marked as such and advise the Chief Safety Marshal prior to the commencement of the race meeting. Any breach of the MotorSport New Zealand Code of Practice for Motorsport Fuel - Storage and Handling during the event, may result in exclusion from the event. 14. VEHICLE TOWING The Canterbury Car Club or the tow truck operators will accept no responsibility for any damage caused to any race car during the recovery or relocation operation at the meeting. It is the race car owner s responsibility to provide a suitable means of towing and/or lifting at both front and rear of the car.

15. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION Grand Prix circuit will be used for Club Day meetings and will only be changed by the Clerk of the Course based on safety staff numbers. Length: 3.33 km (GP Circuit). Surface: Hot mix bitumen. Direction: Anti-clockwise 16. SANDBAGGING Penalties may be applied to any competitor who achieves a handicap race lap time of more than one (1) seconds faster than the lap by which the handicap was computed on. The competitor may receive a time penalty added to race time. The Judge of Fact for this will be the Clerk of Course. GENERAL INFORMATION CIRCUIT SIGNALS: The Circuit s Approved Signal Light System shall be used for this meeting. Flags may be used as a backup in the case of the light system not functioning. PIT WALL: The Pit Wall will be closed for the entire Race Meeting. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Persons aged under 16 may not use skateboards, scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, golf carts and similar in the pits at any time. All other persons operating those modes of transport must do so with care at all times and must wear the appropriate safety gear. Cars have right of way. Children in the enclosed pit and paddock areas must be under parental control at all times. Animals of any kind are NOT permitted within the confines of the Park. By entering this event, you agree that you and everyone on your team, will abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
