FIRST AID MEASURES FIRST AID Swallowed: If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. If casualty is alert and conscious rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give one glass of water or milk to drink. Seek medical advice. Eyes: If in eye, irrigate with plenty of water for 15 minutes with eyelids held open. Seek medical advice if symptoms develop. Skin: Wash affected areas with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and footwear. Decontaminate footwear and wash clothing before reuse. Seek medical advice if skin irritation develops.

2 of 6 Inhaled: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical advice if adverse symptoms, such as coughing, breathing difficulties or burning sensations in the respiratory tract develop. First Aid Facilities: Have eyewashes and safety showers available in the vicinity where exposure is likely occur. ADVICE TO DOCTOR Treat symptomatically. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES EXTINGUISHING MEDIA HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS PRECAUTIONS FOR FIRE FIGHTERS This product is not combustible, but will burn once all the water in the mixture has evaporated. Any extinguishing medium that is suitable for the surrounding fire may be used. Oxides of carbon, and noxious vapours and gases of unknown composition. In a general fire keep containers cool with water spray to prevent rupture of container. Wear full chemical protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus. Move containers from fire area if it can be done without risk. The residue of this product will burn and give off toxic vapours and gases, once all the water in the product has evaporated. Prevent fire fighting medium from entering drains or waterways. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES EMERGENCY PROCEDURES CLEAN UP PROCEDURE Wearing full PPE (see Section 8), ventilate hazard area and restrict access of personnel not wearing PPE. Shut off leak if safe to do so. Contain spill to minimise damage to the environment. Inform emergency services if substance has spilled into sewer, drains or waterways. Small Spills: Wipe up with rags or paper. Allow the soaked substrates to dry in a well ventilated area before disposal as general industrial waste. Large spills: Wearing full personal protection equipment, contain spill with sand, earth, sawdust or Vermiculite. Prevent paste from entering drains or waterways. Scrape up paste and place it into sealable plastics containers. Collect the containment material - product mixture and place it also into sealable plastics containers. Seal all containers and label them to ensure proper disposal. Hose down residue with plenty of water. Take steps to prevent rinse water from entering drains or waterways.

3 of 6 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTION FOR SAFE HANDLING STORAGE Practice sound industrial hygiene. Avoid breathing vapours. Open containers only in the vicinity of local extraction ventilation. Wash hands before work breaks and at the end of a shift. Store in a cool dry place and out of direct sunlight. Protect against freezing. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION EXPOSURE STANDARDS An Australian exposure standard for this mixture has not been set. However this mixture contains trace amounts vinyl acetate and butyl acetate monomers, the Australian exposure standard for which have been set by ASCC/NOHSC as shown below: Exposure Standard (HSIS Mar12) TWA STEL Vinyl acetate monomer 10 ppm 20 ppm Butyl acrylate monomer 1 ppm 5 ppm BIOLOGICAL LIMIT VALUES ENGINEERING CONTROLS PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT Not regulated General dilution ventilation. Ensure that ventilation is sufficient to control exposure levels below airborne exposure standards. The PPE listed below is a general guide only. Personal protective equipment must be selected for each specific work environment. Final choice will depend on the quantity used, equipment used, how the substance is processed and on the airborne concentration present. The suitability of each PPE to this mixture should then be ascertained with the respective supplier. Under condition of ordinary use, wear safety glasses with side shields, rubber (any type) or PVC gloves, long sleeved overalls, and impervious boots. In the event of a large spill or if working in enclosed areas, or if vapours are generated and their airborne concentration is unknown wear, in the addition to the above, a full-face AS/NZ 1716 compliant cartridge type respirator with an organic vapour filter (for selection guidance see AS/NZ 1715). If personal protection equipment is the only possible means of respiratory protection in the normal, ordinary working environment or when working in confined spaces, use a full-face air supplied respirator.
