ON TARGET TWO IDAHO PITA NEWSLETTER ISSUE # 24. NOVEMBER, 2016. Winter seems to be on its way but shooting still continues in Idaho. This issue of OT2 will give you the results and winners from the September 4 th shoot at Ontario, the October Multiplex, the November shoots for Caldwell and Boise, and the November Multiplex. Even the November weather was shooter friendly for a change. Anthony Barraco Sr. Memorial Shoot. Ontario Oregon. September 4 th, 2016. 34 shooters fired at 6500 registered birds at a memorial shoot for long time area resident and shooter Anthony Barraco Sr. Darel Holcomb fired the only 100 of the shoot as he led all shooters in the singles event. Chester Carter was high in doubles with his 89 and also took the HOA champions pin with a score of 271. Roy Williams won a shoot off of 91 s over Parker Blake to win the handicap. November Shoot. Caldwell Gun Club. November 5 th, 2016. With the best weather you will ever see for shooting in November, 31 shooters registered 7100 targets. Norm Foster led the singles event with the lone 100 of the shoot and it was his first. 22 Idaho shooters earned All Star Team points at this shoot. Young Family Memorial Shoot. Boise Gun Club. November 6 th, 2016. A second straight day of very nice weather greeted shooters at Boise. 37 shooters shot at 9200 registered birds. Spud Storey was the star of the day as he won the doubles with 96 and took the HOA champion s pin by 11 targets with 289. He also tied for high in the other two events his 99 in singles tied David Poseley in AA and Clay Brown in class A. Poseley took AA, Storey took Vet and Brown was the A winner. In the handicap Anthony Barraco Jr. tied Storey with 94 and after a one round shootoff where they both scored 24 s, Barraco won a coin flip for the Champion s trophy and Spud took long yardage. Fifteen door prizes donated by BGC members were drawn for and the winners were: Ron Green, Nancy Goulding, Ric Thomas, Bryein Wheelor, Mike Goulding, Ellie Litrell, Virgil Perry, Gary Miller, Steve Spencer, Collin Goulding, Si Littrell (2), Connie Lancaster, Kay Reynolds, and Tara Ortman. Remember that there are winter opportunities for registered shooting with the December, January, and February Multiplex shoots and the first regular registered shoot of 2017 will be the Buckmaster Memorial shoot at Boise next February.
