There is no definitive time frame for the arrival of the next generation Corvette, but all sources point to a model-year of 2013 which would translate into an introduction of the vehicle in the middle or latter half of 2012. From Corvette Magazine Notes from the Tech Seminar at Mid Am on C5 batteries The currently available Delco replacement for 2003 2005 is a 78 6YR 120RC 700CCA You can find the correct battery application for your corvette by going to www.corvettemechanic.com The maximum current draw with key off in a C5 is 30 milliamps If you use a battery tester, the min volt should test at 12.5 and 500cca Test your battery before winter and summer Solar Digital makes a battery tester which is accurate for about $80 and it works on all auto batteries Do not leave your battery connected if the corvette sets more than 30 days Always disconnect the negative terminal to disable the battery Never remove the positive cable unless you are replacing/removing the battery Torque battery terminals to 11 ft lbs Torque the battery terminals before applying the battery hold down clamp by tipping the battery
