Directions to Mt Whitney Fish Hatchery from Ridgecrest, California Travel Time: 1.5 hours (96 mi) north of Ridgecrest, CA. 1. Travel North on Hwy US-395 to Independence 2. Two miles North of Independence turn left onto Fish Hatchery Road. 3. Travel 1 mile west on Fish Hatchery Road and turn right into the Hatchery Entrance. 4. Follow cones to registration and unload gear. As soon as gear unloaded, please park on East side of Hatchery parking lot, or the south side of Fish Hatchery Road. Whitney Fish Hatchery 1 Golden Trout Circle Independence, CA 93526 (GPS coordinates are Latitude 36 49'47N Longitude 118 14 35W On Saturday, unit leaders may drive to the end of the paved road to drop off participants and turn around outside the gate, but may not drive onto the ranch without specific permission. Limited parking inside the ranch gate is reserved for staff. In accordance with our emergency response plan, all participant vehicles must be parked facing downhill (NorthEast) on the south side of the paved road.

Also note date of last Youth Protection Training. You may use this form or type the same information in email. Fill out Rendezvous Staff Survey if you would like to volunteer. Approved All-Day volunteers staff will not be charged registration fee. Please list first name, last initial, and age of all Youth. Note shooting experience, and Merit Badges earned. Unit leaders will sign up participants for for scheduled activities at Cracker Barrel, using buddy system. Youth with prior training and experience documented on unit roster will be given preference for first sessions.
