Fundraising News: As in past seasons, we fundraise to replace our netball stock and to minimise the cost of trophies at the end of each season. Thanks to all those that helped with the Bunnings BBQ. We will be doing the Cadbury chocolate fundraiser again look out for further information in May. DRAKES FOODLAND COMMUNITY DOLLARS Keytags are available in the club rooms for when you shop at a Drakes Foodland. All you need to do is scan the keytag when you shop at a Drakes and a % of your spend comes back to club. It s easy and won t cost you anything. Drakes Foodland s are located at Hope Valley, Newton, Golden Grove, Clovercrest and Surrey Downs just to name a few. As always, any help with our fundraising projects is greatly appreciated. Please see a committee member in the club rooms for more information. Thank you Game Schedules and Results: Schedules and results can be found via a link on the Hope Valley Website home page. Another great way to access this information is through the new Netball Australia MYNET- BALL app - see below. Parking With many teams training each Wednesday, we ask for your help to reduce parking issues on Leeds Ave. New Rules As most of you would be aware by now there are some new netball rules in place from the start of the Winter season. See the end of this newsletter for a summary of the major changes. We ask that everyone be patient with the umpires and coaches who will need to implement the new rules on game day. If possible can parents and players park in the football club car park and walk down to the courts. Your help with this would be appreciated by the club and the local residents, Old Uniforms / Second Hand We are still taking donations of old style uniforms to be given to netballers overseas. Please bring them into the club on a Wednesday night. We are also able to sell any second hand current dresses on consignment. Bring your dress into the club on a Wednesday to arrange.

Sponsors If you wish to sponsor the club, or know someone who would, please contact Jason Kociolek on 0419 034 624 for more information. If you have a business you wish to promote, or are able to assist with the day to day running of our club, please see a committee member. 100% Netball Scott Kelly Plumbing who is donating drink bottles to the club for each new player. Back in Motion - A sponsor of Hope Valley Netball Club. Mention you are a member to help the club. Net-Set-Catch We are looking for young players aged 5 7 to join Hope Valley Netball Club s Net-Set-Catch Program WHERE: Hope Valley Netball Club, Leeds Ave, Hope Valley WHEN: Wednesday afternoons between 4.30 and 5.15 COST: $30.00 CONTACT: 0420 203 293 for more information netsetcatch Netball Codes of Conduct Parents of young children (Net-Set-Catch, Sub Primary and Primary) girls should, if possible, remain at the courts during training in the event that your child has an injury, training finishes early due to the weather or any other unforeseen issues arise. Due to the large numbers of teams using our courts and the congestion that arises, it would be appreciated if parents could wait for their child/children on the outside of the courts. Remember rules are written to protect coaches, players and umpires, so these should be followed. The current information booklet with the Club s Policy & Procedures; Player, Spectator and Coaches Codes of Conduct along with other information required through our association with SADNA and Netball SA, is available to view at our website www.hopevalleync.com.au. A reminder to players, parents and coaches that jewellery and piercings should not be worn to games AND training. They can cause injury to you and others.
