Second and third prizes a voucher to spend at the Sydney Free Saddlery tack stand. Teams of four different individuals, best three scores to count. Limit two horses per rider. No telephone entries. Entries close strictly on Thursday 23 rd July or before if full. * If space is available, late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the entries secretary (please email to ask) and subject to a late fee of an extra 7. Times will be available on the website www.cotswoldponyclub.org or telephone the secretary on Tuesday 28 th July between 7 pm and 8 pm. Course walking: The course will be available to walk strictly between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday 29 th July. PLEASE LEAVE THE COURSE BY 5PM OR YOU MAY BE LOCKED IN!
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. This event is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2015, please read the rules before entering and abide by them at all times. The rules can be downloaded from the Pony Club website. The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules for this event where applicable. 2. Riders age as at 1 st January 2015. 3. Teams of three or four, best three scores to count. 4. A pony may only be entered in one class and ridden once. All horses/ponies must be 5 years old or over. No stallions. 5. All dressage tests to be ridden from memory. 6. Riders eliminated in the show jumping phase will only be allowed to go cross country with the explicit permission of the show jumping judge and official steward, whose decision is final. 7. Riders may continue on the cross country after 3 refusals at one fence or 4 refusals on the course, only with permission of the stewards. 8. The cross country course is not timed. 9. Medical armbands and body protectors are compulsory for cross-country and body protectors are recommended for show jumping. 10. Riders wearing body cages must leave a key with the secretary before going cross country. 11. Riders will be given a paper number and must provide their own number bib. A small number of bibs will be available to purchase from the secretary. 12. A fastened hat must be worn at all times when mounted. All hats should conform to Pony Club standards. All Pony Club members must have their hats tagged. Hats can be tagged at the secretaries tent. There is a charge of 1 for non CHPC members. 13. All competitors are to present themselves to be tack checked at least 15 minutes before their dressage time. Spurs may be worn by PC members without their B test only if carrying the written permission of their DC. This will be checked. 14. Any competitor who has a fall or sustains a serious injury anywhere at the competition site must see medical personnel on the day and be passed fit to ride before riding that horse in a further test or before riding any other horse. They must also advise the secretary. 15. Objections may be lodged, in writing, to the secretary with a 10 deposit, within 30 minutes of an incident. 16. All prize winners must be correctly dressed for prize giving in dressage riding clothes and hat/hairnet. Dressage sheets will be posted if a SAE is provided to the secretary. 17. Entries will only be refunded after the close of entries on production of a medical or vets certificate. 18. If cancelled for any reason, 6.00 will be retained from the entry fee for advance costs; the balance will be refunded on receipt of a SAE by 30 th August 2015.
19. Bad language or behaviour by competitors or their supporters will not be tolerated and will result in the person being sent off site. 20. All dogs must be kept on a short lead, if they cannot be left at home. 21. No mucking out of lorries/trailers in the lorry park please and all litter to be taken home. 22. The decision of the organisers and judges is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition or refuse any entry without stating a reason. 23. Health, safety and welfare: the organisers of this event have taken precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. 24. Legal liability: neither the organisers, the Pony Club or any agent, employee or representative of these bodies or the landowners accepts any liability for an accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, helpers, land, cars, their contents or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. 25. Non Pony Club members must have their own insurance including public liability. Directions entrance to the event is only via the Andoversford to Withington road. Turn off the A436 towards Withington. DO NOT turn off the A436 to Foxcote opposite the Kilkenny inn. Follow PC signs.
