RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY- 1. The Victorian State Championships are conducted by the State Management Council, under the auspice of the Australian Stock Horse Society Ltd, and shall be run in accordance with the rules & regulations of the Society. 2. Entire colts & stallions two years old & over must be bitted at all times. When tied, they must be doubled tied, and or hobbled. All stallions / colts must be stabled overnight. 3. The Judges decision will be final. Any protest must be lodged within 30 minutes after the event accompanied by a deposit of $100.00, which will be refunded if the protest is upheld. 4. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine or add to any class if it is deemed necessary. 5. The Committee reserves the right to refuse the entry of any person, and or refuse admittance to any person, as they deem necessary. 6. It is a condition of entry that competitors and spectators, whether actually engaged in an event or not, do so at their own risk, and will indemnify and save harmless The Australian Stock Horse Society, its Committee, Members, Servants and Sponsors from all claims, suits or demands arising out of and injury, personal or otherwise caused or arising out of their presence. 7. ALL HORSES are to be registered with the Australian Stock Horse Society Ltd., owned, handled or ridden by a current financial member. Membership and Registration Papers are to be produced on demand. 8. PARTICIPANT MEMBERSHIP(IF NOT FULL MEMBERSHIP)must be paid in full to the Australian Stock Horse Society Ltd Head Office before any person can handle ANY horse, in any way, on the day of the Victorian Championships 9. All classes to be ridden in a plain snaffle bit 10. NO Colts or Stallions are permitted to be handled / ridden by persons under the age of 18 years NO Colts or stallions are permitted in youth classes. 11. ENTRY FEE $7.00 /Class (Classes 1-33 inc.) FREE /Class (Youth Classes 37-47 Inc.) $7.00/Class (Newcomers Final Class 35) $10.00/ Class (Stallion Sweep Steaks Class 34 a, b & c.) Yearling/2 Year Old/ 3 Year Old Futurities & Open Challenge as per program. 12. PRIZES: Open Classes: Ribbons to 4 th place, Prize Money 1ST $10.00, 2 ND $5.00 Youth Classes: Ribbons to 6 th place, Show bags at the completion of the day. 13. HIGH POINT OF THE SHOW: Eligible Classes-:*Denotes High Point Classes -HI-POINT AWARDS-: Points awarded. 1st 4pts, 2nd 3pts, 3rd-2pts, 4th-1pt. Hi Point of the Show 1 st Sash & $60, 2 nd Sash & $40, 3 rd Sash & $30, 4 th Sash & $20. Overall Hi-Point of the Year. 1st-sash & $100, 2nd-sash & $75, 3rd-sash & $50, 4th-sash & $25. 14. When competing in a Championship, exhibitors must wear the same attire as they wore in the class that they won. 15. All Juniors under 18years must wear ASA approved hard hats. No stallions or colts in junior events. 16. The Victorian State Championships are to be run under the A.S.H.S. Drug Policy. 17. Competitors are responsible for cleaning up their horses manure. 18. Tonimbuk Equestrian Centre does not permit straw to be used for any reason on their premises. Shavings may be used only. 19. Portable panel yards and electric yards may be erected but each yard must not exceed the size of 16 x 16 and be erected in designated area. 20. All competitors must park their vehicles where directed by officials. 21. ALL colts and stallions are to be stabled. 22. No glass allowed eg. Glass bottles etc 23. All exhibitors must display their exhibit number when competing 24. Shavings are to be laid in boxes by competitors. It would be greatly appreciated if all competitors can make sure that they know their patterns so that we can keep the classes moving. Patterns are listed next to each event except for Championships.
