Pudsey said a big Thank You to all the children for their kind donations. Sports funding Each year Primary Schools are given an additional amount of money to spend on improving sport. Part of our allocation this year has been used to purchase additional equipment for our newly qualified playleaders to use at lunchtimes and for our new football target net. Please see our website for a breakdown of our sports funding allocation.

Royal Albert Hall Our fantastic choir performed at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 7 th November in aid of Barnardo s. Remembrance Well done to Hannah Gray who laid a wreath on behalf of all the children and staff. And a big well done to all the children for being respectful during our 2 mins silence.

British Values Democracy We are learning about the British Value of Democracy this half term some examples of this are: All the children have developed their class rules. The children from the School Council attended the Houses of Parliament for a tour with a question and answer time. The children from the School Council attended The Houses of Parliament for a tour with a question and answer session. The sports council choose the KS1 children to represent our school at the active Essex award ceremony. Representatives from the School Council will be visiting the Moot Hall later in the term. Cards Around The Christmas Tree - Village Hall On Tuesday 03 rd December we will once again be joining the residents of the village for the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree. Please come along between 6.00 6.30 and join in with carol singing, tasting some delicious hot chocolate and maybe purchasing a Christmas present or two from the craft stalls.

I am proud to announce that we have received an award from Active Essex in recognition of our success for the high quality of our PE & School Sport. Mr Hicks, Miss Keeble, Sophia Lee & Luca Riedling all attended County Hall to collect a trophy and certificate both of which will be on display in school. Bobble Hat Day! We would like to take part in Bobble Hat Day again this year to raise money for the NSPCC. This will take place on Wednesday 2 nd December and for the donation of 1 children may wear a festive hat. Bought or homemade, this can be as fun or as silly as you like, (reindeer antlers, Christmas puddings, trees, turkeys or even hats that lights up!) The children will have the opportunity to showcase their Christmas headwear in an assembly, and prizes will be given for the best, most imaginative designs! School uniform should be worn on this day as normal. We thank you in advance for supporting us with this very worthy cause. IMPORTANT NOTICE Please note that the school trip planned for KS2 to the Science Museum has been postponed until June 2016. All monies paid will be held over to pay for the June trip. Should you have any questions please contact the office.
