AquaBright is a high performance finish specifically designed to be pnuematically applied on new build projects and renovations to tired pools and spas. AquaBright is installed on concrete, plaster, fiberglass, steel and aluminum surfaces (provides colour continuity for hybrid pools with various substrates);developed as an alternative to pool paint and plaster. Attendees will develop an understanding of the process and methodology involved in the application of thermoplastic spray finishes. Create an awareness of this new technology and how it eliminates issues with traditional pool finishes. Learn the principles of coating various substrates, surface preparation, spray techniques and general overview of operation Leader: MIKE CLEARY, Canada Pool Coating, Braeside, ON Mike was born in Salford, England into a family of teachers, cabinetmakers and construction specialists-key individuals who would help to form the strong foundation Mike currently utilizes as the Canadian Certification and Training Specialist for ecofinish thermoplastic spray systems and pool finishes. Mike entered Manchester College of Building where he studied construction and building techniques. After many years honing his building and roofing skills, Mike s love of travel led him to venture across the pond to find more building opportunities in Canada. In 1986, Mike s existing years of slate tile roofing specialist skills helped him climb to newer heights. He became a Canadian Citizen on March 11, 1990 and started his own construction firm, Cleary Construction, which realized much success over the next twenty years. Mike s skill set from his younger years to his present day position incorporates all of the strengths necessary to transition from building specialist to President and founder of Canada Pool Coating and the Canadian Distributor of ecofinish systems and their signature pool and spa finishes branded as aquabright and polyfibro..

Leader: STEVE GALBRAITH, G & G Pool n Spa Contracting, Fanny Bay, BC Steve Galbraith started in the industry in 1975, having been educated as a Marine Engineer at St. Lawrence College. He is also a licensed gas fitter and power engineer. Mr. Galbraith is a certified CPO instructor and previously was a trainer in the ASPECT program. Steve continues to build award winning pools on Northern Vancouver Island, when not found skiing, fishing, or riding his motorcycles.

His passion is helping create an amazing experience for people through the enjoyment of water. Whether it s splashing in a pool or melting away in an incredible hot tub, he enjoys showing people that life is truly better with a pool and spa. Jason is Operations Manager at Oasis Leisure Centre in Winnipeg, MB. He also carries out the ongoing Marketing of the store and has personally designed many of their campaigns in Photoshop. Jason is responsible for the Sales Team at Oasis and continues to sell products along with his fellow staff. He volunteers as President of the PHTCC - Prairie Chapter, which helps keep Jason and Members in the region connected to the national pool and spa industry. One of his accomplishments as Prairie Chapter President was creating, organizing and managing the first ever Pool, Spa & Patio Show in Winnipeg. The show was a huge success for the industry and exposed Members to over 2000 Pool, Spa and Patio customers during the weekend event. 09:00 10:15 Technical Issues and Construction Concerns for Builders and Service Personnel - Table 2 (Admission by Blue Badge) Room: 206 Moderator: MARK FOURNIER, Piscines Bonaventure Inc., Laval, QC Born 1962 Montreal Quebec, third generation pool builder. As a student he worked for his uncle at Val-Mar Swimming Pools Ltd. in the parts and service departement. And very involved in lifeguarding and swimming instructor. After graduating in 1987 with a B.Sc. in economics from the University of Montreal, he decided that building pools was his passion and devoted all his time to work with his dad in the family business, Piscines Bonaventure inc. This was the perfect opportunity to touch all aspects of the construction, sales and design. In 2008 he became the owner of Piscines Bonaventure inc. and member of the Master Pools Guild. Since 2013 he is a PHTCC board member for Québec.
