New Hampshire Quarter Horse Association Schedule For Year End Awards Revision : February

Eligibility for NHQHA Open Show Circuit A B C D E F G H I J K The exhibitor/rider must be a paid NHQHA member before points can be accumulated. Horses must be registered with American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) All points will be accrued by the same horse/rider combination. Horse/Rider combination does not apply to AQHA Open Classes. A minimum of two () points must be accumulated by the end of the year to qualify for Championship awards and one () point must be accumulated by the end of the year to qualify for Reserve Championship awards in any division shown in. If a show elects to combine any classes, points will be given to horses in their respective divisions. Example If Youth and Under and Youth -8 are combined points earned in Youth and Under will accrue towards the Youth and Under and points earned in Yough -8 will accrue towards Youth -8. will begin to accrue when the membership is paid. Any discrepancies should be directed to the Secretary. Pointed shows held between January st and December st of the current year are eligible. Any exhibitor earning a year end award in lead line or walk trot, may not qualify for any other award that requires additional gaits (i.e. lead liners cannot earn awards in both lead line and walk trot, and walk trot exhibitors may not earn awards in any class requiring a canter. If an exhibitor wishes to move up into a higher division during the same show season, the lower division awards will be forfeited. If there is a tie for year end awards, the Secretary will take the exhibitor with the highest point average per class to break the tie, (i.e. points in classes vs. points in classes, the person with the classes will win because the person with the highest average points per class breaks the tie). The Open Show Circuit participants will be required to submit the appropriate form to the Secretary by the th of the following month.
