Happy New Year All From Your Head Road Captain! I hope that everyone who attended the Christmas Party had a great time. Awards were handed out for Iron Butt with Robert Jones taking 1 st again with over 24,000 miles. We also handed out the first awards for the Rider s Cup (Combination of stampbook stops and chapter rides) with Bob and Joan Lesko tying for highest point total with 63 points. The riding season will be on us soon and we need to continue to look for opportunities to put miles on our bikes and butts. Some of our major rides are on the calendar already and will be posted in the HOG Room. Maybe we can get together for a cage ride during the off-season. Keeping the shiny side up is much easier right now. Gym (847)217-3552 gymfwy@comcast.net To begin, I would just like to say Thank You for welcoming me as the Activities Officer to the Kenosha Chapter. Those whom I have already met have been incredibly welcoming and I am absolutely excited to meet more! VARIOUS UPCOMING ACTIVITIES Stamp book the Chapters biggest fundraiser. The first mailers have been sent out to the existing advertisers. As most everyone knows, we could use more advertisers! It would be great if everyone could come up with at least one place they would like to see added to the stamp book. The next time you are out enjoying the drinks, food, atmosphere please consider trying to have that businesses added into the stamp book. It is a valuable asset to both the Kenosha Chapter and the business itself. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Chili Cook off. Now, who doesn t love a steamy, hot (in many different ways) bowl of chili?! March will be here before we know it and so will the chili cook off. I would like to get a count of participants that will be making their special flavorful chili for the cook off. Please let me know if you are planning on making chili to be tried and enjoyed by many. Pot Luck. The yearly Chapter potluck will also be here before we know it! I have received multiple requests about trying to get more of a variety of foods, and less repeated dishes. This year to avoid having too many of the same dishes, I will be making a sign-up sheet for people to write what dish they are bringing. Hopefully by doing this more deliciousness will be enjoyed. SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTIVITIES I would like everyone to know that I am always available to help out in any way I can! This includes listening to others that have suggestions for Chapter activities. The same goes for some of the existing and upcoming activities that we have planned. If you are willing and able to offer a lending hand, it would be greatly appreciated! Have a happy and warm winter. Pfft-who am I kidding?!? Hurry up nice weather so we can ride!! Beth Cleveland Activities Officer 7
