* Pre and post safari nights - Offered when your flight arrives after 1pm or if you need to spend a night after safari before departing home. These nights will be spent at a hotel or guesthouse. The $220 includes a pickup or drop-off at the airport by one of our staff as well as all meals and drinks (within reason) enjoyed at the hotel. Cost for ground transport are dependent on arrival and departure airport. Chartered and commercial flights to, from and between hunting areas. Trophy fees of animals bagged, wounded or lost. Gun rental at $60 per day and ammunition at cost. Any special or expensive hard liquor is for clients own account. Taxidermy work. Dipping and packing of trophies. Insurance and shipping of trophies. Transfer to and from the airport. Gratuities to hunting staff, camp staff and professional hunters. Additional vehicles required by hunting party, side excursions, airport and import taxes and landing fees (Chartered flights).
14% value added tax on all daily rates and transportation (non-refundable by government) PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARIS: Photographic trips and photographic day trips can be combined with your hunt. Prices are determined of client chosen National Park or area. Prices will include: Transfer to and from area, lodging, food, drinks and guide. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS: While all reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of clients, observers and their possessions, we the company GREAT COUNTRY SAFARI COMPANY t/a Van Zyl du Toit Safaris(Pty)Ltd accept no responsibility for any illness, accident or loss of whatsoever nature, arising during and after the safari. Before Safari begins, clients are required to complete and sign a safari contract and a general information sheet. All clients and observers are required to read and sign our indemnity form before the commencement of the safari. All rates are quoted in US currency. The client s arrival and departure day will be considered a non-hunting day at $ 220.00 per client per day, observers at $220.00 each per day. Any travelling day between provinces/hunting areas will be considered a hunting day. Transportation by vehicle between provinces/hunting areas or photographic tours transfers is charged at $400.00 per vehicle each way. Any client wishing to fly between areas is responsible for his own, professional hunter and one skinners airfare. Value added tax (VAT) of 14% at present, is payable on all daily rates and transportation only. Trophy fees are exempt, as they are an export. VAT cannot be claimed back on the daily rates as it is for a service provided. Any animal wounded will be paid in full: if blood, hair, bone or stomach fluid is found.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS: A 50% deposit calculated on the total daily hunter and observer rate is required within 7 days from accepting a quotation in writing. The balance of the daily rate and ground transportation is payable 90 days prior to the commencement of the safari. If a safari is cancelled 180 days or more prior to the commencement of the safari, all payments made to date, less a 5% administrative fee, will be refunded. In the event of a cancellation between 90- and 180 days, a 50% refund of all payments made to date will be made. If a safari is cancelled within 90 days prior to the commencement of the safari, no refund will be made. Trophy fees are payable on the last day of the safari on all animals shot, wounded or lost. All wounded animals will be charged for at the full trophy price. Any additional expenses and charges are also payable on the last day of the safari. All payments can be made in cash or bank transfer. Personal cheques will not be accepted. Please Note **Please NO TRAVELER S CHEQUES. All prices quoted are based on the exchange rate of the Rand vs. the US Dollar at the time the rates and prices were established. Prices are subject to change without notice should the exchange rate differ drastically between the day of entering into the contract and the last day of the safari.
