Noordhoek Outdoor Centre 2014 (Situated in Noordhoek, Village-Lane across from the Noordhoek Farm Village and plus-minus 25 kilometres from Cape Town. Two kilometres from the well known Long Beach. Quiet, safe environment with excellent hiking routes in the surrounding mountains). FACILITIES 1. Two sections with 8 sleeping quarters (68 Beds in total). 2. Ample warm and cold water. 3. Two separate rooms for personnel with 2 beds in each room with their own bathrooms. 4. Well equipped kitchen with gas and electric stove, fridge and freezer. 5. Large hall. 6. Large swimming pool. (Please note rules regarding use of swimming pool and noise) 7. Cutlery, bedding and toilet paper is not provided 8. Large barbeque area. Grids are provided. Firewood not provided. 9. The supervisor can inform you on activities in the Noordhoek area to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. RULES REGARDING USE OF THE AREA 1. NO animals are allowed. 2. Any damage caused by the users will be taken from the deposit. 3. Mattresses may not be removed from the rooms. 4. Fires may only be made in the barbeque-pit. 5. Sorry, no tents and caravans allowed. 6. No chairs or tables may be removed from the building without permission. 7. Do not stick posters etc. on the walls as it damages the paint. 8. No smoking within the buildings. 9. No littering. 10. Parking is only allowed in demarcated areas. Camp Leader/s There must be proper control of children at all times. A ratio of 1 leader per 10 children in the case of primary school learners and 1 per every 15 secondary level learners is requested. Please ensure that the leaders have the proper skills to fill the posts. The camp supervisor will brief the overall group leader on the rules and he will also inspect the site before departure with the head leader to ensure that everything is left in the state that it was found. The supervisor has the right to ask groups that do not comply with these basic rules to vacate the property if so needed. It stands to reason that any group found wanting in keeping to the basic rules might not be allowed on site in the future. PLEASE NOTE that municipal regulations demand that a person qualified to do first aid must be included in the group.
Graffiti and vandalism Vandalism on and in the surrounding area is not allowed. In case of vandalism, repair costs will be collected from the deposit. Also, a fine of R300 for graffiti will be collected from the deposit if graffiti is found on any structure. Noise The Camping-area lies within a semi-rural area and the neighbors are all ordinary folk who resides in the area for its peace. Let us please be sensitive to their needs and rights and keep noise levels to a minimum. No jumping castles s. Music No sound amplifiers are allowed to be used in the camping area. Music of any sort is limited to the confines of the hall and the volume must be kept to a level that it is not disturbing to the neighbours. No drumming sessions. No music is allowed after 22H00 except in cases where it is not audible on the outside. No music is allowed before 08H00 in the morning. Music is not allowed around the barbeque pit and the swimming pool. Swimming pool When the swimming pool is utilized in any way, we request that noise be kept to a minimum. Shouting in and around the pool is not allowed. The swimming pool can be used from every day between the hours of 09:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. For safety reasons we also appeal that a person be appointed to supervise the use of the swimming pool as well. The door leading to the swimming pool area will only be unlocked during the hours set aside for swimming activities. If noise levels due to shouting and screaming reach a level that is unacceptable the group will be asked to leave the swimming pool area. Motor-vehicles Motor vehicles and busses will only be allowed to park in demarcated areas. Please do not rev your motor vehicles. People who do not keep to this rule will be asked to leave. Co operation We request that you comply with the above mentioned rules to make not just the stay of our neighbors a pleasure, but also to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us. Please remember that as you have rights to enjoy yourself, our neighbors have the right to enjoy their stay here in Noordhoek. No activities allowed outside the building after 24:00. TARIFFS Please Note: A camp is only booked when the deposit as well as the camp form has been received. On indication of your desired booking date you will be asked to deposit the monies within one week and fax or e-mail your request to us. If this does not happen, your booking will automatically be cancelled without any communication. 1. Deposit must accompany your reservation. This deposit has to be paid within one week of your reservation. A breakage deposit of R800.00 is included. This breakage deposit will be paid back if no damage or graffiti was incurred during your stay. 2. A booking is only valid once the deposit and the application form have been received. A telephonic query regarding a booking must be confirmed in writing by fax or e-mail.
3. A deposit is only refundable if you cancel four months prior to the date of booking. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. No exceptions! 4. PLEASE NOTE: No cancellations are accepted in the FIRST QUATER of the year. 5. The booking must be made by a person with the necessary authority to act on behalf of the group. Bookings can not be made by a person under the age of 18. 6. In cases where a group arrives on a Sunday, right after another group, we require a note from the group that they accept the case that the centre is not clean. The resort management will attempt to clean the building on the Monday. 7. Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight and may visit from 10:00 20:00. Please make arrangements with the caretaker as well as the office if you expect visitors. All camp fees payable on the day of arrival. You can pay your fees at the office beforehand or your can pay in cash at the campsite. If you make a transfer or deposit the fees directly into our account, please fax the deposit slip to 021 424-7545 or show your deposit slip at the campsite. The deposit is also the minimum fee payable for the weekend and is payable when the booking is made. A booking is not valid unless the minimum fee has been received.
