We are asking YOU to please consider making a donation toward a holiday staff raffle and add some fun and show some love for Big Creek s staff! During our last school day before the holiday break, as well at our staff holiday party, we would love to share any donated items, such as gift cards, to raffle off during some fun activites to our staff! We will be thanking those families who sponsor a prize with a huge thank you in the WILDCAT WEEKLY as well as with our 2012 Staff Holiday Card which will be sent to your home! This altruistic project will be hosted by our own 5 th grade students for the second year! The total money earned for Northside s Cancer Branch is $903.91! The winning class, Ms. Ferrer s class, raised the most money for the school and will get to choose a pizza or cookie party as their reward. Thanks to all the families for their support in just a little over a week, our students are making a big impact this holiday season (through money donations as well as the meal tray decorated cards).
The Big Creek Chorus performed at The Villas at Canterfield (assisted living) on November 30 th. Big Creek s Relay for Life team is hosting a Pajama Day fundraiser on December 14, 2012. Students are allowed to wear their pajamas to school (no slippers) to help support this cause. Donations are optional yet appreciated. Thanks for helping us help save lives. Volunteers are needed at Big Creek Elementary! Volunteering with Girls on the Run is a life-changing experience. You share your time and energy, and help instill a positive self-image in girls grades 3rd-5th. Our volunteers are typically parents, coaches, runners, community volunteers, and teachers. You do not have to be a runner to be a Girls on the Run volunteer. The main requirement is enthusiasm and a desire to further the GOTR mission! Big Creek Chorus Holiday Concert Schedule December 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. - Big Creek school day holiday concert (student body and staff audience only) December 14, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. - Barnes and Noble (The Avenue) book fair. Cookie decorating will follow ($2). Please see ad below as this is a fundraiser for the music department. All Big Creek students, parents, and staff are welcome to attend and join in on the holiday fun. *Chorus, please wear your blue shirts and black pants for each concert. Black shoes are recommended.
