Courses on city biking For several years Valonia has organized courses on city biking in cooperation with the local biking associations The courses have consisted of lectures and guided biking tours in the city

By bike to work -competition, already since 1998 12. 19.9.2016 In the By bike to work competition, workplaces in the Southwest Finland compete during one week in which team manages to collect the highest number of kilometers commuted on other forms of transport than motor vehicles In addition to biking it is also possible to participate by walking, roller skating or even riding a horse to work (as long as you re not using a motor vehicle) Attention is paid to smart travel chains. You can participate even if you walk, bike etc. only part of the way, for example to a bus stop. There are four categories based on the size of the workplace. Companies and public organizations alike can participate, as well as any other kinds of workplaces. It is also possible to participate as a department 200-300 workplaces (1500-2500 employees) have taken part to the competition yearly For more information see: www.valonia.fi

Promotion of traffic safety

Safe and sustainable transport in the municipalities Participation in the traffic safety working groups in Masku, Lieto, Paimio and Kaarina In Masku we are focusing on sustainable and safe mobility in three schools together with Liikenneturva. The goal is to reduce speeding in the school surroundings and thus increase the safety of walking and cycling (2016).
