AC Summer Camps Coach Drey Trosclair, Coach Rick Bolotte and Coach Chris Schexnayder held a football camp for Primary and Middle school students in July. During camp the boys were taught drills and special plays to help them gain knowledge and experience playing football. Thanks to the High School Football Players who spent time with the campers helping out! Coach Mitzi and Coach Gussie Hahn, along with the High School Softball Team, put on a softball clinic in July for primary school girls. The girls were given a special treat when former LSU player Constance Quinn showed up to give them some special advice and instruction. Thank you to all of our coaches, players, and our special guest for making this one memorable experience!
Louisiana Four High School Students were selected to attend Girls and Boys State this summer. Micah Daggs, Bailey Acosta, Victoria Eure, and Madeline Robichaux represented Ascension Catholic in this week-long leadership program. Through this hands-on program, all the participants learned the ins and outs of state and local government. The program focused on developing self-confidence, poise, and character while also learning about patriotism and citizenship. Below are a few pictures from that week! Girls State & Boys State High School Cheer Camp Our High School Cheerleaders dominated at Cheer Camp in Gulf Shores Alabama in July. They were awarded 1st Place in Extreme Routine, 1st Place in Sideline, and 1st Place in Overall Camp Champs. They received the Leadership Award and they brought home the Banana. We would like to congratulate our 4 seniors who were all selected as All American by the UCA staff. Great job by all cheerleaders and their coaches Mrs. Tara Martinez and Mrs. Megan Ourso.

Sprucing up Our Campus Before leaving for the summer, a group of teachers got together to give our religious statues around campus a much needed face-lift. The work began in May, right before the primary school s May Crowning Ceremony. Mrs. Laruen Landry and Mrs. Jennifer Daigle repainted and spruced up the flowerbed. Then, at the end of May, the 7th and 8th grade teachers, Mrs. Mitzi Cassard, Mrs. Brandi Manry, Mrs. Alison Lemann, and Mrs. Tammy Matirne pulled up their sleeves and began work on the High School Campus repainting the statues of Jesus, Mary, and St. Vincent de Paul. As you can see, the results are beautiful and we are so thankful for our teachers for modeling the gift of service! God Bless our School! STAY CONNECTED..
