Oilers Ice Center Presents a Holiday Showcase Saturday December 16th, 2017 Eligibility : In order to participate in the Holiday Showcase, you must be a current, registered OIC Skating School member, a member of a U.S. Figure Skating Club, or a U.S. Figure Skating Individual Member. Members of U.S. Figure Skating Club's other than Tulsa F.S.C. must provide a letter of permission from their home club. This event is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating and hosted by the Tulsa F.S.C. and the Oilers Ice Center Skating School. ** VERY IMPORTANT CHANGE THIS YEAR, YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE GROUP NUMBER IN ORDER TO SKATE A SOLO, DUET, OR ENSEMBLE NUMBER. ** (Exception if you are 21 years or older or you have passed Novice Freeskate or above, you may participate without being a part of the group number) Entries and Fees : Solo, Duet and ensemble entries must be turned into Jessie Hudson no later than the close of business on Saturday December 2nd, 2017. GROUP NUMBER ENTRES MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN FRIDAY OCTOBER 27TH, 2017. There will only be one large show this year. therefore no more than 35 entries (programs) will be accepted. Acceptance is on a first come, first served. There is a $20.00 fee for returned checks. Late entries will not be accepted. Show Time : Saturday, December 16th 3:00pm at the BOK center Fees : Solo Performances: $20.00 per skater Duet / Pair (2 skaters) Performances: $15.00 per skater Ensemble (3 + Skaters) Performances: $12.00 per skater Group Numbers $136.00 per skater which includes your costume ($32.00), 7 group practices at Oilers Ice Center, also including 1ea ticket into BOK for practice TBA, 4 tickets ($40.00) that will be good for entrance to the Holiday Showcase and also the Tulsa Oilers Hockey game that will follow starting at 7:05pm. Practice Times : Solo, Duet, and Ensemble skaters will practice at the discretion of their private coach and will pay the coach separately as a private lesson. Group number skaters will have 7 days of group practices which will be held at 5:00-5:40 pm on Friday October 27 th, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, December 1st, 8th & 15th. There will also be 1 additional practice at the BOK center TBA. **Skaters who fail to show up for group practices will not be able to make it up and will cause their group number to fall behind. This may require the skated to have a private lesson with the coach teaching there group.** Registration : The registration desk will be at the BOK center (I will let you know exactly were when we get closer to the performance). Participants must check in with a monitor at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. Skaters will be directed to their assigned locker room and backstage monitor.
Music: All participants must provide their own music on CD/CD-R only. CD-RW's will not be accepted. Skaters must submit a copy of their music with their entry form and fee's or no later than Saturday December 2nd. Songs will only be played once during the show, this is first come first serve, so please get your forms in promptly. Program Requirements : Participants may skate a any level from Snowplow Sam 1 to Senior. Skaters may participate in up to 4 programs one of them must be the group number. Programs may not exceed the program time limits established by U.S. Figure Skating. Programs must be choreographed and approved by an instructor. Solo, duets, ensemble, and group numbers will only be performed once in the show. Official Notices : All official notices regarding the 2017 Holiday showcase will be posted on the Skating School bulletin board, located to the right of the concession stand in the lobby. Guests : Each skater will be provided with 4 tickets for the show which will include entrance to the Holiday Showcase performance and also the Tulsa Oilers Hockey game that will follow starting at 7:05pm. Skaters are encouraged to invite as many guests as they would like, additional tickets are $10.00 ea. Pictures and Videos : Flash photography will not be permitted. Individuals may use hand held cameras. A professional DVD of the show can be purchased $25.00 (highly recommended). T-Shirts : T-shirts can be pre-purchased for $16.00 or can be bought on the day of the show for $18.00 while supplies last.
