Our Festivals are unique they are based on a combination of dance classes, workshops, a gala concert and, of course, social activities after all that s the root of all folk dances and songs! I hope that you all join us at PFDAA S 30 th Anniversary, but more importantly, that you take advantage of the learning experience Festival 2013 will provide. Merriest of Christmases to all of you and your dancers and here s wishing you a happy, healthy, rich and productive New Year!!!!!

PFDAA Festival 2013 Celebrate the PFDAA s 30th anniversary in Minnesota this summer! The next PFDAA Festival will be held July 13-20, 2013, in the Twin Cities. The following choreographers for the event have been confirmed: Mr. Janusz Chojecki Director of the National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble "Mazowsze", also the lead choreographer for the Rzeszow Festival. Mr. Jerzy Starzyński Specializing in tańców łemkowskichów from the Carpathian mountain region of Poland, bordering Ukraine, Romania and Slovakia. These dances feature distinct mountain dances and gypsy numbers. Mr. Stas' Kmiec Teaches movement on Broadway and will work with groups on presenting themselves onstage so that they are aware of the important aspects to a performance. His approach will be to personalize certain exercises to Polish dance segments and songs Fourth Choreographer - TBD For more details about the festival please remember to continue to check the festival website: http://www.dolina.org/pfdaa2013 & the http://www.pfdaa.org website. PFDAA Choreographer project Are you or is someone you know a choreographer specializing in a region of Polish folk dancing? If so, we would like to add you to the PFDAA North American Choreographer s contact list. The PFDAA choreographer list is comprised of a list of individuals who have completed a choreographer course in Poland, or is a recognized choreographer, specializing in Polish Folk Dancing. The purpose of the list is to be able to provide members of the PFDAA with options of hiring local talent, when it isn t always possible to bring in choreographers from Poland. So if you re a choreographer and you would like to add your name to the list, please fill out the attached form and submitted it to pfdaa@sasktel.net.

PFDAA Music Project Update The final version of the music is being compiled for regions of Slask Opole, Gorny Slask and Pszczyn. PFDAA members will be able to get a copy in the early part of the new year. PFDAA 30 th DVD: The PFDAA will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2013.
