Lawrence North Student-Athletes of the Week Max Wills, Baseball Grace Dean, Track Senior Max Wills and sophomore Grace Dean have been selected as the LN student-athletes of the week! Wills has led the resurgent batting attack for the Cats, which has resulted in four straight wins. He leads the team in hitting with a.469 season batting average. His GPA of 3.316 shows that he can hit for the cycle in the classroom as well. As for Dean, this super sophomore carries a GPA of 4.086 and ran away from the competition at the prestigious Charlie Riley Invitational, winning the 800m run. Great job, Max and Grace!

Baseball: The Wildcats (9-5, 4-2 MIC) have won 9 of their last 11 games, including four straight conference games, to move into second place in the MIC. Last week the Cats were 4-0, being Park Tudor, Southport, and Ben Davis twice. A.J. Manuzzi went the distance against Park Tudor, Garrett Burhenn picked up the win in the first BD game, Dylan Scheid and Maalik Houston pitched the Wildcats to an extra inning win in the second BD game, and Sam Paddock pitched a complete game against Southport. Max Wills has been lighting it up at the plate lately for LN. He hit.500 for the week and started our comeback against Ben Davis. His batting average with runners in scoring position was.750, and his OPS was 1.250. This will be a big week for the Wildcats.
