Ike Brooks Road (SR 212) and Rives Chapel Road (SR 217) Ike Brooks Road and Rives Chapel Road are not built to current design standards. Improvements are necessary to modernize this facility. Ike Brooks Road and Rives Chapel Road serve as a defacto bypass route around Siler City, connecting US 64 and US 421. Both of these roads are two-lane rural highways, and both currently have 8-foot lanes. Current (21) AADT on this facility is 46 vehicles per day. The 1996 Chatham County Thoroughfare Plan forecasted 22 traffic volumes to rise to 1 vehicles per day, and listed this facility as a minor collector. Modernization improvements on this facility should improve safety. Problem Statement Developed in 211 by TARPO for SPOT 2.
