REGULATIONS 1- INVITATION The Confederação Brasileira de Squash CBS, and the Federação Mineira de Squash FMS, is pleased to invite all players from any country in the Americas to participate in BRAZIL JUNIOR OPEN DE SQUASH 2013 tournament to be held in Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais - Brazil, from 20 to 23 June 2013, together with the XI Junior Pan American Squash Championship. 2- PLACE AND DATE The venue of the event will be the Winner Academy, located at Rua Engenheiro Ocelo Cirino # 343, Estoril neighborhood, telephone +55 31 3378-1066, which has a complete structure of locker rooms, restaurant, parking, gym and 5 squash courts, starting june 20 at 9am and finishing june 23 at 7pm. 3- INVITATIONAL CATEGORIES The categories are called U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 in both male and female. Each player may participate in only one category. Will not be allowed to register players who are participating in the XI Junior Pan American Squash Championship, which will be held in conjunction with this event. Should there be a minimum number of 4 players registered in each category to be creat a draw. 4- ELIGIBILITY The tournament is open to players of any country in the Americas. Players must be of the age required to participate in a particular category on the first day of the tournament, ie 1st June 2013.
5- ENTRIES The application form duly completed should be sent by the national governing of squash in their countries to e-mail braziljunioropen@gmail.com until 24:00 hour on May 31, 2013, to be considered entries of his players. The registration fee per athlete is R$ 600.00 (six hundred reais), which correspond to approximately U.S. $ 280.00 (two hundred eighty dollars), and will entitle: Transport Airport/Hotel/Airport in the days of arrival and departure of athletes; Transport Hotel/Club/Hotel during all days of competition; Lodging between 19 until 24 june; Breakfast at the hotel between 20 until 24 june; Lunch and Dinner at the Club between 20 until 23 june; Party. All fees should be payed to the organization of the event, in Reais (cash) at the time of realization of the Technical Meeting, june 19. The above value is individual, and also charged to members of the Technical Committee who may be watching these athletes Family, friends or coaches are welcome and will be charged the same amount (R$ 600,00), and are entitled to the same items described above. Those who confirmed their entries but perhaps not attend the event must pay the amount of R$ 250,00, concerning logistics expenses that had already been scheduled for their participation.. 6- TECHNICAL MEETING There will be a Technical Meeting at the Academia Winner June 19, 2013, at 7pm, make the draws of the tournament. Each country may send up to two representatives to this meeting.. At this meeting the registration fee, extra hotel days or rooms, meals (if any), must be payed and the credentials and meal tickets will be delivered.

There will also be a General Champion trophy for the winner country of the event. In this case, the points are added up individual best placed players from each country in each category according to the following criterion: 1 st Place at the category = 8 points to the country; 2 nd Place at the category = 5 points to the country; 3 rd Place at the category = 3 points to the country 4 th Place at the category = 2 points to the country; 5th to 8th Places at the event = 1 points to the country (when there is) Each country can only have one player scoring in each category, even if you have more than one player in the scoring zone. This case will be considered only the highest score at the category by country. Additional awards may be offered by any sponsors of the tournament. 9- OFFICIATING There will be referees trained and qualified for the event. However, due to the large number of matches to be played, the more experienced players may be invited by the organization to assist in refereeing.
10- OFFICIAL BALL The official championship ball will be black Tecnifibre double yellow dot. 11- UNIFORMS E PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR Players must wear proper uniforms to practice squash. The use of eyewear protection is mandatory, including the warm up period. 12- OFFICIAL SITE The Federação Mineira de Squash - www.fmsquash.com.br will create a hot site with all the information of the Brasil Junior Open de Squash 2013. In it will be available all draws, images, forms, and other information pertinent to the tournament before, during and after their completion. 13- COMPETITION SYSTEM The players will play all positions in their draws, ie those who lost their matches in the main draw will keep playing for best positions in consolation draws. In a draw with 4 players, each player will play at least twice. A draw with 8 players, each player will play at least three times. A draw with 16 players, each player will play at least four times. And so on. Main draw will use PARS (point-a-rally scoring) to eleven (11) points by difference of two and an individual match will be the best of five games, in accordance with WSF rules. Consolation draws will use PARS (point-a-rally scoring) to eleven (11) points by difference of two and an individual match will be the best of three games, in accordance with WSF rules.
14- TRANSPORT The Organization will provide to all participants service airport-hotel-airport at the Aerporto Internacional Trancredo Neves, CONFINS, when arriving june 19 th and when departing june 24 th. Each delegation of each country may request transportation only for a certain time within these specific days. Additional requests for other times within the same day or other days will be answered, but may be charged by the organization. These requests should be made through the appropriate form, which must be completed and sent to the e-mail braziljunioropen@gmail.com until the day May 31, 2013. Just as an example, the cost of a taxi for 3 persons between the airport and the city center is approximately R$ 150,00. Moreover, it will be offered daily transportation between the hotel and the club/courts during all days of competition. The delegations will be picked up at the hotel in the morning and taken to the club. At the end of the day, they will be taken back to the hotel.. 15- LODGING The event organizers will provide accommodation for participants enrolled between 19 and 24 of june, 2013. The accommodation will be made in 2 star hotel standard or superior, in double, triple or quadruple, according to programming done by the organization. The check in can be made at the hotel at 2pm on june 19 th and the check out must be made by 12pm on june 24 th. Additional days will be charged at a rate of R$ 100,00 (one hundred reais) per day, per person, with breakfast already included. These additional days should be agreed at the Technical Meeting. These requests should be made through the appropriate form, which must be completed and sent to the e-mail braziljunioropen@gmail.com until the day May 31, 2013.
16- MEALS The breakfast will be provided at the hotel, between the 20 th and 24 th of June. Lunch and dinner will be offered at the club venue, between 20 th and 23 rd of June. On occasion will be offered four or five options daily meals, ranging from pasta, steaks and salads. Meals also count with a glass of juice or soft drink. 17- BELO HORIZONTE OVERVIEW Belo Horizonte's climate is classified as tropical of altitude, feature arising from its average elevation of 900 meters above the sea level. The period of summer register rainfall and high temperatures, while winter is characterized by low temperatures and little precipitation. The temperature is mild over the year, ranging on average from 15 C to 28 C, with an average of 21 C. The coldest month is usually July and the warmest month is usually January. The humidity is around 65% and the average annual rainfall is 1600mm, more frequent from October to March. Belo Horizonte is located about 300 km away from the sea. Belo Horizonte is currently the sixth most populous city in Brazil, with about 2.5 million inhabitants. In economic terms, Belo Horizonte is the fourth richest city in the country, with about 1.5% of national. 18- FINAL CONSIDERATIONS The Brazil Junior Open Squash 2013 is organized and will take place according to the rules of the current official World Squash Federation (WSF), in accordance with the regulations of the Federacion Panamericana de Squash (FPS), the Confederacion Sudamericana de Squash (CSS) and Confederação Brasileira de Squash (CBS). Any technical or logistic situation that are not in this Regulations shall be resolved by the organization. 19- SUPERVISION AND ORGANIZATION
