ENTRY & STABLING Entry Close Date Sunday 7 November 2010 Entry Fee: Refer to classes schedule above Stabling Fee: Permanent Stable rental per day: Rp. 100,000 Temporary Stable rental per day: Rp. 80,000 Money Transfer Payments Entry Procedures ENTRY BY SMS are NOT accepted. Entry fees must be paid in full together with the entry forms and waiver form before the closing date. All entries have to be submitted on the attached entry form, any other form of entries will not be entertained. Entry forms have to be submitted to secretariat together with waiver and liability form. All participants must sign a waiver form. Riders under the age of 18 must have guardian consent. Late entries will be subject to a late fee of Rp150,000 Unpaid entries will not be allowed to start in the competition. REFUNDS will be provided upon request, in case when horse or rider had a medical condition and were unable to compete. Requests must be accompanied by veterinary certificate for the horse and doctor certificate or parent letter for the rider. Refund administration charge of PR 50,000 will apply per cancellation. Refunds will be provided within 1 (one) week after the show. 5. REGISTRATION OF ATHLETES & HORSES All Athletes & horses participating in any International competition must be registered with the FEI. All Athletes & horses participating in any National competition must be registered with the EFI. All horses are required to have passport. All riders have to have valid EFI Rider License. CLASSES DESCRIPTION & ELIGIBILITY Classes CS 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 on Sunday will be counted as Finals for the Indonesian National Jumping Championship 2010, Junior Cat and will be counted as 1.5 points. 7. NAIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - POINTS CALCULATION Article 655 - THE FEI WORLD CUP COMPETITIONS 1. The FEI World Cup competitions are run according to the following formula: Competition against the clock with one initial course, with one jump-off only against the clock. Table A mixed, Art. 238.2.2. 1.1. The formula of Art.238.2.2 is to read as follows: Table A competition against the clock with one initial round and one jump-off against the clock. Competitors with equality of penalties for first place in the initial round jump-of against the clock. The remaining competitors are classified according to their penalties and time in the initial round. Article 656 POINTS 1. FEI World Cup points are awarded to competitors only (not competitor/horse combination) for each FEI World Cup competition. Points are awarded to the 16 best placed competitors. 2. Points won by competitors who are tied are added and divided equally. Fractions of 0.5 or more are rounded up; fractions of less than 0.5 are rounded down. 3. If there are less than 16 competitors starting the initial course of a FEI World Cup competition, the scale of points will be reduced accordingly. Only riders who have completed the initial course will get points. 8. APPEALS Complaints and appeals must be in writing to the President Ground Jury, signed by the authorized person from the club making the complaint and presented personally the appeal committee together with any supporting note evidence and names of witnesses and the deposit of Rp. 1,000.000,-. Complaints must be made not later then 30 minutes after the result are announced. If the complaint is accepted OC will refund the deposit conversely if the complaint is not accepted the deposit will remain with the OC. Refer to the FEI Art. 167 Of General Rules & regulations for more details. 9. GENERAL CONDITIONS This Competition will be run in accordance with: FEI Statutus, 22nd Edition, effective 15 April 2007, updated 21 November 2008 FEI General Regulation (23rd edition, effective 1 January 2009) Veterinary Regulations, 11th edition, 1 January 2009 FEI Jumping Event (23rd edition, effective 1 January 2009) FEI Dressage Event (23rd edition, effective 1 January 2009) Rules for Eventing 23rd Edition, 1 January 2009 (updated 14 April 2009) All subsequent corrections and modifications to the above Rules and Regulations as published by the FEI. 10. DRESS COSE 1. Headgear. Wearing a hard riding hat is compulsory for anyone riding at the event. Dressage: Top hats with tailcoat permitted for Medium Test and above. Ladies may wear hunting coat with top hat. 2. Dress. White, light colored or black gloves are allowed. White or light colored breeches and black gloves are allowed, white stock or tie, black riding boots, a dark colour jacket, helmet when competing and during the presentation of prizes. 3. Spurs capable of wounding a horse are forbidden. Spurs must be of smooth metal. There must be a shank pointing only towards the rear, which must be no more than 3.5 cm long. The end must be blunt in order to prevent wounding a horse. If the shank is curved, the spurs must be worn only with the shank directed downwards. 4. Whips. If a whip is carried in the Cross-Country and/or Jumping Tests, it must not be weighted at the end or exceed 75 cm (30 inches). Dressage: Whips up to 110cm length may only be used in non-fei tests and outside the competition arena. 5. Boots. In all Tests, boots (other than as part of regulation service dress) must be black. They must either be long boots in one piece or a full grain smooth leather leg piece and leather boot. 6. Gear. Snaffle bridle compulsory for all dressage tests up to Medium level. Medium and Advanced level double bridle optional, Prix St. Georges compulsory. If using double bridle, spurs must be worn. For Walk Trot Test simple side reins and whips up to 110cm length are permitted. 11. FACILITIES At the end of competition, all stables must be cleaned of all dung and left over feed. The stables and other areas occupied by participants must be kept clean and tidy at all times. You are not to burn sawdust or any other material inside the stable. Cooking inside the stable is not permitted. 12. THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSES The Federation Equestre International (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. 2. Horses and competitors must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. 3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. 4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. 5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise. 8

The Gading Open 2010 Arthayasa Stables, 12-14 November APPENDIX-1 GENERAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER PLEASE read carefully before signing this form must be signed before you compete In consideration for my permission to participate in the The Gading Open 2010 (competition name) organized by the Equestrian federation of Indonesia and Arthayasa Sporthorse Equestrian Services ('the Organizers') at the Arthayasa Stables, Cinere-Depok on 12-14 November 2010 (dates), I agree: i that prior to participating in any event, I will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used by me during that event; ii that I understand that I may be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, and severe social and economic losses which might result from my actions or inactions, but also from the intentional or negligent acts of others, from the rules of competition and their application, from the condition of the premises and/or equipment, and from other causes now unknown or not now reasonably foreseeable; and iii to fully release, discharge and hold harmless the Organizer and its respective members, directors, agents, employees, associates, staff and independent contractors from any and all claims, actions, liabilities and causes of action which I may now have or which may accrue as a result of or incidental to my voluntary participation in any of the sporting or non sporting activities incidental to or in connection with the Competition. And Acknowledgement of Rules and Regulations In consideration for my permission to participate in the The Gading Open 2010 (competition name) organized by the Equestrian federation of Indonesia and Arthayasa Sporthorse Equestrian Services ('the Organizers') at the Arthayasa Stables, Cinere-Depok on 12-14 November 2010 (dates), I agree: i to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Organizer as in force from time to time; ii to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages or using any substances in a manner which would decrease or impair my level of performance during my participation in the sporting activities of the Competition; iii to refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct or any conduct bringing discredit upon the Competition including without limitation physically or verbally assaulting or abusing any official, competitor, spectator, volunteer or any person involved in the conduct and management of the Competition and that any such conduct may meet with expulsion form the Competition and appropriate criminal or civil action against me; and iv to be filmed, photographed or interviewed as a participant in the Competition when requested to do so by any officer or official of the Organizer. I acknowledge that I execute this 'General Release of Liability and Waiver' and Acknowledgement of rules and Regulations freely and voluntary, and do not rely on any inducements, promises or representations made by the aforementioned organization or individuals involved in the Competition, or any person associated in any way with the Competition.
