This year s tournament will happen on November 18 th, and we look forward to seeing you all there. Please be sure to read all of the important information below, which will help you have the best experience possible. Event Website: http://2a-semi-finals.weebly.com Schedule Please try and arrive as close to your band's arrival time as possible. This will help our guides facilitate your band accordingly. Please do not enter warm-up areas early, and be prepared to leave on time. Parking Bus Parking: Buses will be parking in the front car circle. You may enter off of State Road 580. Because of the way the busses will be parked, they all must be ready to move after the competition. Bands wishing to stick around longer to pack up or eat may do so, but their busses will have to move, and will be directed to spots in Lot B. Please ensure your driver is ready to move, even if your band is not. Equipment Truck Parking: Your trucks and trailers will park on the drivers ed lot. You will enter off of State Road 580. We will have guides directing you to the Driver s Ed Range. Fan Parking: Fans who come to watch the event will have 2 parking options. Lot A is located off of McMullen Booth Rd. Parking in Lot A is limited but is closest to the field. Lot B is located off of State Road 580. Both lots will have a parking fee of $3. Please be prepared as our staff may not be able to break large bills. Band Flow Band Check-In: Bands will check in at the Bus area. Buses will be unload at the Check-In table, then they will be directed to their parking area. Students will have a short path along the right side of the school to the Equipment Trucks to get their equipment. Warm Up Areas: We have 3 warm-up areas, and a pit area. It will be a short trip down the Driver s Ed range driveway to the warm-up areas. The Pit area, and Warm Up A, are located on the back side of the school. Area s B and C are in the front right corner of the school. There is plenty of room in all three areas to accommodate your entire program. Please stay in your band's assigned warm up area and explain this to your educational staff. There is no power in the band warm up areas, but we will have power in the Pit area. P. O. Front Ensemble and Props: We will not have trailers to move equipment. There is an exit from the Driver s Ed range that will allow your front Ensemble equipment to move quickly and easily to the warmup area, and then to the field. Your props will also have a quick and easy path to the field, and we will have space for prop staging near the field entrance. Field Entrance/Exit: The entrance and exit to the field are the same location. Please be sure to follow the directions of the entrance gate staff to avoid bottlenecks. Band movement onto and off the field will be like a circle. Bands will enter, and walk up the left side of the track to the front to enter the field. When finished the bands will exit off the back corner of the field. Band Photos: After your performance your band will be led to a photo area where you will have group shots taken. Your students and parents will have the opportunity to order pictures from our website later in the week. We will take a serious pose and a silly pose. Pictures are $10 each for 8 x 10 s, or $15 for both. After your photos are taken, you will be directed back to the Driver s Ed range to put away your equipment. Admission Admission is $15.00 for Semi-Finals, Children 8 and under are Free. You can also purchase Finals Tickets for $20.00 at Countryside HS and not have to wait in line at Tropicana Field. ALL personnel that need to go on the field with props or equipment MUST have a wristband on to go onto the field. Concessions Concession Stand: We will have a full menu for your enjoyment, including Chick-Fil-A and Pulled Pork Sandwhichs from the smoker! We will have breakfast items available before 10:30am as well. NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED. A full menu will be available to look at on our Tournament Website prior to arriving, and bands will have the option to pre-order meals so they are ready when you are. A meal pre-order form has been included, or you may order and pay online. Other Food Options: We will have Kona Ice and Mookies on site, are are still looking at a few other vendors. FMBC Vendors: FMBC will have sponsors there selling clothing, jewelry and videos. Bake Sale: The Countryside HS Indoor Percussion group will be hosting a Bake Sale! Be sure to check it out and feed your sweet tooth. Band-Grams: Let your favorite band student know how proud you are of them. For a small donation, we will announce your shout-outs over the PA system before their performance. You can buy these online in advance, or in person at the band Gram table.
Bathrooms We have bathrooms located at the field. Students in Warm-Up will also have access to the bathrooms inside the school. Judges Comments and Awards Judges comments will be recorded on Digital Voice Recorders and transferred to a Flash Drive that will be included in your packet at retreat. When the last band is performing, we ask that Officers and 4 Year Seniors gather, in order of performance, where the Band Entrance is, to come out on the field for awards. The top 5 bands will be announced as Finalists, with no scores posted on the Recap. Finalist Directors please gather at the 50 yard line front sideline and wait for the FMBC Representative to have you draw for order in Finals.
