About Eric Swahn 2012 began his first season racing and he quickly made his presence known. He took a staggering 11-1 st place finishes with 21 total podiums. He placed 2 nd at the WERA Grand National Finals twice, trailing each time by only one second from being crowned Novice National Champion. Eric earned 33 top 10 finishes, and scored points in 100% of all races completed. Finishing consistently, he was credited three separate 2012 Novice WERA Superstock Championships (600, 750 and 1000cc Superstock). In 2013, Eric raced with two separate organizations and won his first Expert race with both WERA and MotoSeries. In July at Road Atlanta, Eric entered in the annual Cycle Jam. He performed exceptionally in his first qualifying session and placed 10 th /26 in the National Expert 600 Superstock class. He scored a total of 20 podiums and earned 38 top 10 finishes. He finished 2 nd overall in two classes and 3 rd overall in another two classes for his Championships (600, 750 Superbike / 600, 750 Superstock). In 2014, Eric entered into his 3 rd full season of racing. Highlights include 10 National top 10 finishes with a career high of a 2 nd place Expert National finish. He has finished within the points- paying positions in every race finished (32) this season. The overall regional championship results are: 2 nd 750 Superstock / 3 rd 600 Superbike / 4 th 750 Superbike / 4 rd 600 Superstock / 4 th 750 Superbike National. Future Plans (2015+) For the 2015 season, Eric has already obtained his professional race license for the Superstock 600 class of the newly formed MotoAmerica Pro Roadracing Series sanctioned by the AMA and FIMNA. His goal is to compete in select events for WERA s Expert Regional Championship, WERA s Expert National Challenge Series, and MotoAmerica's Pro Road Racing events. The goal is to finish within the points- paying positions of professional level competition and attend 15+ events overall. MotoAmerica will be televised on the CBS sports network, and may be also available for online viewing.
